What are everyone’s thoughts on the new NYC law (effective June 2022) that will require employers to post the salary range with the job posting?

I recently started a position as a business office assistant in a retirement home. I have a B.S. in Psychology and some relevant experience. I'm paid 20/hr in South Florida. Is this reasonable pay or am I being cut short?

Current apartment 2780/month: not moving = no brokers fee, brand new sparkly kitchen with new appliances, two parking spots, spacious bonus room, forced air AC, baseboard heating that costs $400+/month in the winter bc of bad insulation, kind of gross bathrooms with some tiles hard to clean/falling out of the walls, lots of small fixer-upper items like replacing curtain rods where the nails seem to be coming out from their holes, etc.

Average salary for a Copywriter in the Boston area with 3 years of experience at their agency?

I’m hoping to make the jump from Jr. at my upcoming review and wondering how much to ask for. All those online salary calculators I can find average me at about 62k….but asking for that would be a nearly 50% raise.

I know to take those calculators with a grain of salt, so figured I’d ask around here too.

If you are hovering between the 24 or 32% tax bracket (work in commissions) and are planned to get a 60k bonus…would you take lump sum in December 2022 ? Or space it out with some in 2022 and the rest in 2023?

Any “boomerang” attorneys out there that have returned to remote NYC law firm roles after being in-house for many years? 2001 grad, firms are interested, but cagey about comp. Should be on par with senior associates IMO b/c can bill you out at those rates, are non-partner track roles, and you can handle matters solo and be client facing. No/low overhead b/c working remotely. Thanks for any data points! Also, are you happy you returned to a law firm or do you regret the decision?

Looking into commercial real estate investments in a smaller market. What are typical terms payment terms between equity and management? I assessed a deal way back and the pitch was:

* 95% to equity (5% to manager) until 100% equity paid back.
* 50% to equity (50% to manager) until 150% of equity paid pack back
* 40% to equity (60% to manager) thereafter until sold.

This was theoretically a friendly transaction.

Any thoughts on whether the terms were friendly and general market terms?
