McKinsey & Company 🐠 have you started traveling to the client site yet? If yes, What is that looking like? If no, any indication into what the future of client travel looks like?

My friend's a BA intern currently and she said they gave all the interns travel projects. Meaning the idea of "if you want to travel you'll be able to" seems like it might hold true

Some studies have resumed client travel, yes

It's both client and office dependent. Like in UK and Brazil's offices (100% sure in Brazil, 80% sure at UK), there is no on-site engagements, and no official date to be back. But in US offices (Boston and NYC), there are several projects on-site

Thank you all for your answers!

Long post that’s going to spill into the comments so please bear with me 😅 Anyone having a problem with being overlooked on their team? I worked on implementing a new system, recruiting app teams to test it out, & creating a thorough guide to help people learn it. Back to back meetings with clients & different teams; I was dedicated to this project for months. My coworker added a 2-pg FAQ section & essentially got credit for doing everything even after I shared my contributions to my supervisor.

Interested to hear how people learn project management. I have done PRINCE2 exam and read PMP materials, but I find these are too textbook theory based. Real life projects seem to be very different and a lot more complicated. I often do not know what needs to be done unless someone tells me. I believe you can learn these things on the job, but I am keen to expedite this with some books or courses. Are there any resources that are particularly helpful?

Interviewing for a great position in industry (tech). They have equity comp & great benefits. Spoke to their HR, then interviewed with 2 people in the tax department and am getting scheduled for a next round of interviews. The only problem is: the office is about 1 hr from my house (I own). They said repeatedly that they want someone who will be in the office 5 days a week. I would actually move but can’t rent out my place now due to some repairs going on that will take 4-5 months. Thoughts?
