Bain & Company What is the likelihood of making SAC in September 2022 if I join as an AC on April 18th at Bain & Company? I am a senior consultant at EY with 3.5 years of experience in Data Analytics. Or is March 2023 more realistic? They told me 6 months for promotion but it seems like the two promotion cycles with my different start dates give me 4 or 9 months of experience, nothing in between. I’ll be joining in the private equity group which will be new for me.

No. It's also BS so don't think too much about it : )

Crazy how pervasive MBTI is, considering how psychometrically useless it is. Guess there’s value in talking about personality differences without bringing up real performance levers, like conscientiousness.
Where my INTJs at?! 🙋🏻♂️
ENTP all the way baby
100%
Really? Hmmmm
I’m an INFP so I just don’t want that to be looked at like why are you here? Lmao
Just enjoy. There is nothing evaluative about the MBTI. It’s just a tool to teach people how to work with different personality types.
It’s used in team discussions (sometimes) to prompt conversations about different working styles.
ENTP playing devil’s advocate here
Wouldn’t the flexible problem-solving of a P, be seen as advantageous in this biz?
I would think so 😆
Tbh the best thing about virtual casing for me was that the interviewer could not see my paper. My paper was a MESS. But I can be neat when it’s necessary (aka when being judged/watched by Client)
I’m an INTJ at the firm, its recorded but not shared with others unless you put it on your internal Know profile. I havent put it there because i dont think its that relevant. I have never been asked my MBTI profile in any team kick offs 😂
Just finished the test and it’s INTP 😆 just so happens to be the same MBTI as McKinsey’s founder.
I’m Gucci!
Edit: so I’m reading more about this and apparently mck takes this stuff really seriously. Like they may judge if you’re a “P”. 🤔
I’m a very strong P, I share that with all my teams. Never felt judged, it’s just helpful knowing how best to work with each other

We've been doing this for years. Really useful. Obviously can't comment on how M use the info but with us it's purely to help explain how different people like to work.
Nobody will/should ever use that against you. It’s anecdotal for your own good and at times for team norms/discussions- don’t worry.
Not evaluated, just a way to quickly communicate working preferences. You can evolve it as you see fit over time.
I'm very ENTJ. Am I ngmi to MBB?
