Just watched chivalry officially die...young couple gets on the plane, guy takes a seat in first, saying "see you in a bit" as the girl walks to economy
It is a self defeating purpose at times. 😔
Any WFH parents, also watch their kids during the day? If so, my question is HOW do you make that work? I have a hard time imagining a scenario where I could handle both at the same time...
Sounds familiar...... happy Friday everyone!!!!
Best books on developing client relationships? How often/in what way to stay in touch etc. Of course the easiest answer would be to practice more but Id like to learn from experience of others as well
If people could see how poorly I run my own life nobody would pay me to advise on M&A, but here we are
How do people feel about this? Last time I checked, snitches get stitches. But at this point there is more at stake?
Coronavirus lockdown: Would you report people who break the rules? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-52525463
Surprised it took this long but I had my first major dream of trying to go to a restaurant and looking inside but it was closed because of covid and never opening
Has any business travel started up again?
How do you answer the question “what’s your process like”? I tend to ramble simply because I have no concrete process.
Does anyone feel weird in the DEI space for all the identity politics of representation (which I understand progress is progress!) but it’s still within the system of capitalism because this is still... advertising? - coming from a BIPOC
Anyone know of a good resume consulting/writing/editing service? Trying to create a personal resume and could use some help! Bonus points if it’s a BIPOC owned/ran service!
Where to find off the shelf consulting frameworks if you are leaving your firm and want some reference frameworks?
Someone want to send me a Gemini referral code? Put it in comments and I’ll choose the first one (also so everyone knows I’m good and doesn’t send me 50 links)
Team has expanded and have added new Managers and Senior Managers. Unsolicited, a senior consultant is reaching out to them and telling these new leads that I'm difficult to work with and that they had issues working with me personally. I found this out when these Managers reached out to my PM to find out what was going on and PM reached out to me. What can I do about this? I feel like there's an alliance against me and I've literally never received this feedback from any else.
Given all the recent buzz about expected large raises around the big 4, I’d like to level set on the average salary for a 4th/5th year female senior manager in federal tax ( credits & methods group) in the Midwest - Chicago/Minneapolis/Detroit market. Anyone willing to share a range if they work in a similar area of tax / similar level? I recognize all groups vary greatly in salary expectations, so looking for input specific to my area. Current expectations set at 140-160k. Reasonable?
