Me: do you have any names of who I can connect with to get on projects on what I'm interested in. Cc: No, I don't know anybody

It is not your cc's job to get you staffed. It is their responsibility to give you guidance on how to navigate the system but in the end you. Wed to navigate your staffing with the assistance of your TFS if you go that route. Typically your network will get you staffed, but next in line is your TFS, not cc.

Tell him 3 things you are thinking of pursuing and which one he thinks is most useful. I.e. Training, Certification, cold calling partners, polishing the resume, etc. Sounds like he may not be very well connected so reach out to others you have a relationship with in your practice

A2, the CC's primary role, ESPECIALLY for analysts, is to lend you their network. If they're not taking the time to get to know you/your skills and advocating for you, then they're not a good CC OP, find a mentor in your practice and ask if they'll be your CC

Definitely change your CC if they're not willing to let you know what they're doing and put you in touch with the people they know

I'm a Microsoft Dynamics and C# Developer at a Big 4 consulting firm. But... working with Dynamics for the last 5 or 6 years is starting to wear on me. The salary is great because there is a shortage of qualified Dynamics developers, but I want to do something else, even if that's just back to being a run of the mill C# Developer. Maybe this is more of a rant or I'm letting off steam, but has anybody on here ever essentially gone from a specialized type of roll to more general role?

Interviewing at McKinsey from a big 4 consulting firm - currently an engagement manager interviewing for an engagement manager role on the partner track - comp at big 4 is currently $165k base, what’s a reasonable amount to ask for at mck? I got an Ivy League exec mba in 2020 as well, which hasn’t yet been reflected in my big 4 comp (we mostly didn’t do raises because of covid last year). Trying to understand how much higher mck might be willing to go?
