Meds definitely make me kind of dyslexic. What the hell? How? Why? Anyone else had this? I never had spelling issues or misreading/mistyping similar words. Need some consolation peeps!

I've become dyslexic too. It's even affecting my speech now. I've downloaded Grammarly and pay for premium 🙃

Exactly the same

Oh man!!!! Maybe change meds?
I use Grammarly 😩

Well I have not been diagnose. I do suffer of anxiety and depression. I take Prozac and bupropion.

Maybe the dose is too high? Definitely not something I experience any more than the typical “going too fast to spell/grammar check” that is normal for me.

I feel like when I increase dosage the effect is more pronounced

Im not currently undergoing any treatment t but OMFG it’s killing me. I struggle with spelling everyday words… I have always been great at grammar and spelling but not anymore.

I read another poost on this in this same group. THis is not soemthing I have experienced at all. I actually feel like I do better on meds at not having that problem.

Would other companies or university know if I was "counselled out"? Would they hire some companies to find that out?

Interview went well, Total 7 ppl interviewed me. I accepted offer verbally. Then I got promoted and I shared that to recruiter and my current compensation and offer are same. I shared my difficulty to recruiter as it will be a lateral move. He said he will get back to me in 1 day. Its been a week I haven't heard back.
What should I do. (I am excited for this new role also extremely happy with my current employer)
Is it normal for recruiter to not keep their words about communication?

So a former coworker and I stayed in contact after I left my last job. I’m 27F he’s 43M. Until today, I thought he was gay. We met to catch up today and had a mostly normal conversation until he told me he lied to his wife and told her that he was at the gym instead of meeting with me. I have no interest in him romantically but I was hoping to stay in touch with him as we worked well together. Now I’m not so sure if it’s a good idea. Thoughts?

Hi Everyone!

I am an 8+ year Internal Communications Manager and Project Management experience looking to pivot into this role inside a tech, fintech or media company/organization. If anyone is willing to refer or send me remote opportunities, I would love that. Thank you!

How is variable pay decided in accenture. I joined a year back and want to understand the process. I have 95% annual chargebility. I am a management consultant - band 9.
Also, what is the probability of getting a hike and promotion?
As far as I know, I am the highest chargeable person under my People lead for the same level (i.e. management consultant). All other consultants reporting to my lead have less than 70% chargebility.

Does anyone know of any good job options in FL for attorneys who are not licensed in FL? I’m wanting to move back to be closer to my family but I really do not want to take the bar again. I’m currently licensed in MO and doing products liability and trucking litigation through the Midwest. I’ve applied for some in house roles but I’ve only got three years of practice so I’m not sure I’m qualified. Is it possible to find something or will I need to suck it up and take the bar again?

Hi all,

What is the formula for Grauity calculations, on HRWeb it states

Basic Pay x 15/26 x (number of years with
Microsoft India).

However, according to other Indian sites it is

(15 * your last drawn salary * tenure of working) / 26.

How do I politely ask for what was a verbal warning "improve or we take next steps" in writing?

The fdbk I received all seems directly tied to my emotional dysregulation that I am just putting a name to let alone not knowing how to fix it (because if I knew that it wouldn't be a problem).

So I want my mgrs to put it in writing and how exactly they plan to measure it (other than they will "hear" it from ppl).... Cuz internally I can't separate what I'm feeling from what I think they're saying

Anyone find themselves interrupting too much? I tend to get excited when talking with friends or about something I'm passionate about, and I occasionally will totally interrupt someone (unintentionally) when I get too into it. No one has mentioned it to me but I've caught a few looks from friends when it happens, and I'd like to work on it just for the sake of being polite. Advice?

Has anyone else tried Strattera, had success, and a few months later felt like work was a struggle again? Am I imagining it? There are reasons why I should not take stimulants, but I miss that feeling of being a “regular” person at work and so am curious if others have had a similar journey and where you all ended up

I have really been struggling with my ADHD lately. What mobile apps or programs do you guys recommend to help manage symptoms? How do you stay on task and remain focused?

What kind of accommodations can I ask for especially since I work from home? I am having an extremely hard time with the pressure and time constraints on getting the work done. I am a very fast pace worker but it’s like I can’t work fast enough here at this new job. And I don’t know what to ask for.

Whew this group is a relief to find. No one at my job knows I have ADHD, and I only have one other friend with it. I manage a team of people and the stress of checking, double checking, and triple-checking everything to make sure I'm not forgetting anything or behind on anything is insane. I've kind of got the hang of keeping focus during work hours, but I'm just constantly on edge that someone will notice or I'll start falling behind.

I’m curious how ADHD professionals prepare for job interviews. Some interviews I’m really nailing it and other interviews I can’t find the right words to communicate properly.

Tell me you’re ADHD without telling me you are ADHD.
I currently work 2 full time jobs & a pt contractor for 2 years and I’m currently on the verge of burnout and confused on career growth.

I’m professionally excelling in all work areas and have been promoted in all work areas at least once over the past 2 years.

The issue is I find myself as a director of marketing (I over see 8 offices & a team of 7), Sales Client Partner, and Manager Administrator of Web/App Development

How do I grow?

Do you disclose you're ADHD in an interview or where you're already working?

Ever since I was diagnosed, I always do because I want to make sure they understand I need accommodations and I'll fit in due to my symptoms.

I’m burnt out from job hopping but I’ve never liked my current job and after a year in the role, I really want to get a new one. I’m finding it hard to get a new one as a creative and I’m running out of ideas of where else I should look. Thoughts?

What's your current hyper-fixation? It can be work related or not. Mine right now is crossword puzzle books, haven't bought one since I was a kid but I randomly got really into them this week. At work I'm reorganizing but it's less fun.

So I had a coding interview recently and have decided that the format was actually pretty unfair for people with ADHD. Essentially you have to code the answer on a screen shared with the interviewer whilst explaining it and listening to the interviewer - all of this is anxiety provoking and distracting meaning I underperformed on quite a simple coding task. It felt a bit like asking a person who has dyslexia to compete in a spelling bee rather than a written test.

What kind of health plan, a PPO or HDHP, would you recommend to someone that goes to an out of network provider?

This question was asked in my company bowl: Be brutally honest. Are you more or less productive WFH?

Everyone in the comments said more productive at home and I'm curious if this bowl would have a different consensus. I'm way more productive in the office, although I don't go that often, so maybe it's the change of scenery that helps.

Executive dysfunction is so annoying. Not only am I avoiding things I don't want to do, I'm also avoiding things I DO want to do, things that make me feel good or that I need.

Not sure if this is the right place to post but I have really been struggling with work lately. I was diagnosed with ADHD in the winter and prescribed adderall. While it helps me get up and start my day, I still completely lack motivation to actually do anything even as simple as responding to an email. Prior to the ADHD diagnosis I battled with a panic disorder for about the last decade and was prescribed xanax. However my doc didn’t feel comfortable with both scripts so I no longer (cont)

Is it more difficult to hear (or process hearing) things when on stimulants? Several times people speak to me and then I feel I didn’t hear or understand them, never happens off stims: Any similar experiences?

Anyone feel stimulants make you talk more? And like overfocus on a meeting that you’ve been speaking about a 5min topic for 20m then you have 10m to discuss 25m of stuff?

ADHD medication with high Blood Pressure?

I found ADHD meds helpful when I worked in consulting in my 20s. I stopped the meds when I went back to school. Also have had High BP since late 20s. 15 years away, I am back in consulting and loving it, however my difficulties juggling so many projects/tasks is holding me back. I know I would benifit from some ADHD medication but my Dr won’t prescribe any with my history of BP (controlled with BP meds). Anyone else gone through this? Any tips?
