Just put it in a bun and call it a day. Hair length isn't the problem. What you do with it is the difference between messy and professional. This does not apply if you're an airline pilot...

Details aside, groomed is best. Neat, clean, polished, presentable.

I have longer hair and a beard. Dress sharp and carry yourself well, that's all you need.

this is a really long poll lol I would try to shorten it up a bit.

What is your current look ?

Definitely long hair if you're a Rock Star developer/engineer/whatever.

I don’t care. Are you accomplishing something? That’s what I want and need

1. Yes if styled very well (see Jonathan Van Ness for details.) 2. Professional perhaps, but medium hair that has not been cared for is almost worse than a messy bun of long hair. It might be the worst if it is unbrushed. 3. That sounds wonderful. 4. IT DEPENDS ON THE STACHE. See 70s films for reference and avoid all sorts of them. 5. I don't think long beards are a good idea ever. See ZZ Top for warning label. The one exception is if you have a really well-groomed salt and pepper or grey medium-length hipster beard if you work in product. 6. This may make you look younger for good or ill and if you aren't used to it you will spend the entire time feeling like a different person instead of focusing on the interview. Might be a terrible idea. 7. Stay groomed at all times, no matter the length. It's the effort and style that counts more than the amount of hair.

Hi, I'm an employee at a hotel chain who works remotely. I've been working remotely for over a year now and I love it! The company I work for is very supportive of remote workers, which is great.

But there's one thing that's been bothering me: it's hard to get feedback on my work when I'm not in the office. It would be great if there was some kind of system that let me know how my performance was being evaluated while I'm working on projects from home.

No idea about team/culture/stability differences yet.

The non-work factors I'm debating are:
1. Cost-of-living (housing!). Could probably afford a nice ~$1.25M SFH in Seattle suburbs sooner than a fair $1.5-2M near Cupertino.
2. Public School quality. Unsure private will be affordable.
3. Weather/region: activities
