Do y'all shop to 'stock up your pantry & fridge' or shop 'for the week'? I'm a little confused. Trying to be conscious of my spending but I've also noticed that I buy 2 bags of chickpeas, a 12 can pack of coconut milk from Costco, 4 packs of milk cos I don't want to go out every week and I have 2 kids. I do buy fresh vegetables every week and a half or so.
But this sort of a buying system is making it hard for me to track how much is my weekly/monthly expense! Am I the only one in this situ?

Does DT reimburse CPA fees if say you write your exams whilst working outside of Audit, eg Consulting , and then return to Audit after passing all courses.
I recently started working at a firm that does a lot of legal aid. In order to attract more private clients, they want us to go out and do speaking engagements and volunteer work (on our own time). Furthermore, they started asking us to consider doing per diem duty counsel work to bring up our receivables (aka- work as duty counsel and give them our pay). I was so appalled by this comment, I’m beyond livid. I became an associate so I didn’t have to go out and bring in business. (Cont.)

I’m a TVC and want to travel for work - I coordinate and maintain partnerships with external organisations. How can I make a good case so my FTE higher ups will allow me to expense it? (This would be travel within Europe from within Eu and the odd trip to the states where I’d lump all partner visits into 1 trip). These trips will be key for improving workflow and outputs.

Larger, sophisticated firm with amazing family law practice group making big overtures at me. Having coffee meeting with managing partner-elect, what are some topics I should focus on?
New firm has wide range of practice areas and would be 60-70 attorneys. Really like attorneys in their family group and have arguably “better” clients. Have practiced 10 years at same small office (crim/PI/fam) and feel capped out. Won’t be a partner/owner at current firm until boss retires (3-5yrs).
