Hi Peeps I just cleared 3 rounds of interview with the Accenture Toronto Team for a Banking Strategy Manager position under Strategy & Consulting practice. Hi fishes, my friend recently had a bitter experience with Dish Network. So her profile was shortlisted and they asked few questions over email. It did take good 2hrs to answer and she replied back. HM said we are good to go for interview and sent an invite. On the day of interview nobody turned up, neither they gave an update later. She did follow up for a couple of days but no response. Is there any reason why this happens ? Me being in HR field felt this to be a little unprofessional.

10th NOV - Technical and PDM round (Wed)
12th NOV - Got call from HR and he mentioned I may selected.
14th NOV - Got call from HR and he sent some BGV forms.
15th NOV - Attended Cognitive Test
18th NOV - Got call from HR regarding Preferred Location and mentioned he started working on OL.
1st Dec - Got OL and also mailed them for extending my doj.

I recently got an offer from Amazon for sde new grad and I’m thinking if I should join or not as I have heard a lot about toxic work culture. I’m getting a base of 129k + 27k joining bonus and 94k in stocks. It is higher than my current salary but I’m getting a lower title. What should I do? Should I negotiate on salary ? Or on the role? The new company upon joining thier company will create your new EPF number, and the same will reflect in Govt site for which Date Of Exit (DOE) will show as Not available ,but for last company the DOE will be your date of exit...when Does this DOE for last company is visible in Govt aite after leaving the organisation ?

Wanted to provide a 6 month post mortem on the career decision thread below, in case the perspective is helpful for folks making similar decisions now.

I chose option 2 and regret sacrificing lifestyle.

Cons: The hours are difficult and the team scope is broad bc the company is in hyper growth mode. The job impedes my social life as I can’t go out on weekdays and am exhausted on weekends (no change from consulting there😁). The standards are high bc the strategy team has high visibility.

My current manager is a very controlling and has perpurated a v tense culture within the team. The boss recognises that the team is stressed, but blames the team for having such an attitude. The person is a micro manager dictates things like when work pings should happen, but at the root of it all, the team is over competitive & unhappy because of the leadership. Everyone's scared to write anything in PMR or perf for the fear of being identified. I'm new to to the team, but not to Google. Help!

I am planning to start with Google's Cloud Digital Leader (CDL) certification and later will move further for Associate Cloud Engineer Certification. But upon searching on the internet I couldn't find any jobs that require CDL, mostly starting with Associate Cloud. Since I don't have any experience in Cloud and to start with Associate Cloud I need to have at least +6 months of experience on Google Cloud.
