So, a recruiter gave me feedback that my lack SPHR or SHRM-SCP is causing my resume to be knock out by AI and human recruiters despite my position and work history in Multinationals and being in Technology. They suggested that we put SPHR ( Lapsed). I let it lapse in 2017. What is your opinion? Plus if I were to take another certification - should I take SPHR or SHRM-SCP?

Construction costs / inflation / Costa Rica: I am considering buying land & building a short-term vacation rental villa in Costa Rica. Sole goal is to get a 10%+ ROI (going there for holidays as extra perk). All is looking good and I have good planning/advisors, but the only thing that freaks me out is the construction costs increase we are seeing (+15-30%). It kills me that timing is going against me. Would you pause such venture and wait to see how things evolve, or move on to not waste time?

Upper management's direction is to put together the most aggressive deadlines we can. If we think a project will take 16 months, make the plan for 10 months then there's a chance we may launch in 13 months.

I understand that time to market is important in consumer product goods, but being constantly behind schedule and rushing everything is terrible for the team's morale.

Law schools in Toronto - I am currently working as a Senior Auditor at EY & finished my CPA modules in less than 12 months & successfully passed CFE, September 2021 (Fasttrack) while working full time. I am really interested in getting into a top law school here in Toronto but unfortunately I had a low CGPA (3.15) from undergrad due to some unfortunate incident, mostly impacted my grades. I strongly feel i can score 170+ on LSAT; question DO I EVEN STAND A CHANCE TO GET INTO ANY LAW SCHOOL

Mid-level associate in top 50 ALM. I’m exhausted. My client got a new contact, and I now dislike the client. I have had maybe three days off this entire year. I’m in a niche market, so it’ll be so difficult — if not impossible — to find another job. I should be happy: My firm loves me, they want me to be partner (so they say), manage a large book, well-paid, etc. Anyone else going through the emotions? How are you getting through it?
