Unprofessional Topics 🙃

Met this guy on a dating app and we've been texting for the last couple days. When deciding when to meet, he seems to be willing to change all his plans with friends or work to meet as soon...

You are over thinking it! As a guy who was in this exact situation over the weekend and really enjoying the texting, I threw caution to the wind and offered up meeting sooner. Radio silence now. The only decision is - do you want to. Time is irrelevant.

Don’t be sorry :) ... I appreciate your words but in the end it is what it is. It won’t stop me or change how I operate. You have to risk it to make the biscuit.

I have the opposite problem where the guys flake and don’t want to meet. He seems to be interested in you. Can kind of seem desperate a little but shows he might be legit.

My two cents - I tend to fall for people if there’s a really great mental and emotional connection there, even if that just comes from talking and texting without having met in-person. Because of that, nowadays I prefer to meet in-person sooner rather than later so I can see if there’s actually physical chemistry there, and if our rapport in the “real world” is as good as the one we have electronically. Otherwise, I can develop feelings for them, and if we finally meet in-person and I find that the chemistry’s just not there, it makes it more difficult to get over those feelings because there’s a part of me that thinks “well, maybe this could still turn into them because I really enjoy our conversations, etc.” And then I’m just a confused mess. Also, I’ve been catfished a couple times, which is another reason I don’t like to draw out meet-ups.

It might mean that he’s thirsty, OP

The date was okay. I think I was a little turned off by all the pushiness leading up to it, so didn't enjoy as much. He seemed much calmer in person though and was nice to talk to but I don't think there's going to be a second one...

Sorry to hear that. Better luck next time! 🙂

Yeah that's probably it. Seems a little desperate but then it's better than being with someone flaky, I guess. Going to meet tomorrow so let's see how it goes.

...as possible. I've been having a busy last few days due to work and family commitments and have had to change plans at the last minute. Even though I appreciate the flexibility and acknowledge that he's excited to meet, how flexible is too flexible when making plans? Maybe I'm overthinking...

PwC6 I've gone through the same thing before so I guess I shouldn't be over thinking this at all. Thank you! I'm optimistic and a little nervous for the date tomorrow.

He probably doesn’t want to lose the dating momentum and/or all of his friends are couples who are excited that he’s excited about meeting you!

I'd say you're overthinking, but trusting your gut may be worth it. Tbh, we all have our faults. Give the guy a chance 🤗

Well you can’t force the chemistry. Just keep doing what you are doing! It will happen 🙂
