What is the best way to begin a transition from a help desk job to an actual career path in IT? I’m getting close to being at my current job for a year, however I have a lot of experience in the tech field, which is what landed me this job without any actual IT background. 529 NY question. I want to setup an account for my daughter. Planning to contribute $10K to maximize the tax deduction as a married couple.
(1) Should my wife and I setup two accounts for our daughter with $5K each? Or ok to setup a single account under one of our names?
(2) Understand $10K is below the annual gift tax but 529 is considered a gift. Is it good practise to document this in some shape/form? Like a one page doc that my wife and I sign stating we gifted to a 529 $10K in 2022.
