I’ve been working for the same company for over 7 years— I believe they have improperly categorized my coworkers and me as contractors. We are supervised, have regular hours, daily meetings, we’re expects to be working Monday through Friday, our work (editing and writing) is essential to the operation’s purpose. They don’t pay any social security or unemployment. After complaining they have said they’d agree to make us employees, but with a pay cut. What should I do?

I need help getting in the right frame of mind for my evaluation. I'll have my first annual review tomorrow and I'm anxious about what to expect even though all signs point to positive feedback. Starting a new job during the pandemic, it's been hard to read people I work with remotely and only just started seeing in person. I've forgotten how to strike a confident but deferential tone in a meeting, especially one where I'm being scrutinized. What if I seem nervous & they think I'm not confident?

Audit manager here checking in how is everyone doing? I feel like there is such high expectation from everyone these days. Client services 40/45/55 hours and all these nonsensical cluster activities, trainings and cohorts on the top of that. I don’t think I can handle this anymore. When I speak up about it, I am told my leadership that everyone is doing it, so you have to do it to keep up with the competition. I seriously just don’t want to give more than 40 hours of my time to this firm.

Hey everyone! I recently graduated this past December and started my current role January 24th. Just this morning I had a recruiter from Meta reach back out to me about a role I applied too last month. Should i schedule an interview with the recruiter? What if it goes well? Would it look bad if I quit my current position to take this role if I end up getting an offer? One reason I would want to switch is because the pay would most likely be a lot higher at Meta then in my current position.
