Their boots are really nice quality and will last for 2-4 years
Is this sarcasm?
Nordstrom has a lot of nice stuff. Maybe buy a decent pair of office shoes or work bag.
Or buy something fun like work out gear.
There’s a woman’s section too.
It’s Christmas!!

Pretty decent accessories collection as well - belts, wallets, scarves etc.
Barbour Jackets, Mens sneakers, Tons of Athletic Gear (Peter Milar, Nike)
Maybe not best “bang for buck,” but consider a nice cologne for special occasions. Something like Creed (Aventus) or Le Labo (Santal 33 or The Noir)
Agree on cologne, but hard to recommend buying from a department store given the large markdowns online. Definitely go there to smell
Can buy suits too. If I dont buy clothes accessories from there, I might try and sell to someone for $800-$850.
They usually run the second Half-Yearly sale after Christmas. Picked up a nice sport coat there a couple of years ago.
I would purchase -fragrance-workbag-nice shoes-nice suit-white shirts.
I'd buy shoes. I've had nordstrom refund/exchange shoes after I'd worn them for a few months because they weren't well made.
Not everything at Nordstrom is expensive either.
Pro
Get nice parkas if you’re in winter land
Get some decent hard-sided carry-on luggage and a versatile Barbour jacket.
Black Friday might make it better
Does it expire?
Not everything is crazy expensive. If you need a suit, good time to splurge on a nice one, or Get some really nice shoes if you wear them for work (loafers, boots, lace ups). Otherwise, can get nice sweaters, chinos, jeans, workout clothes, watches, sunglasses, even sweatpants/shirts, etc. plenty of everyday items. I’ve been thinking of upgrading my weekend bag, get a good one there and it should last many years.
As has been said, they run a few sales a year, so can get great discounts (anniversary sale is one of the best, usually in late July or early august I think). It can be overwhelming with the amount of stuff they have. Just think about what you really need vs. what you really want. For example, if you need to upgrade your work or exercise wardrobe, maybe get a bunch of small we items. Or if you have been wanting a nice watch or jewelry, put the $1k towards it and treat yo self!
Buy something excellent that will last a long time - suit, winter coat, briefcase
I was gifted a beautiful leather bag from Nordstrom a few years ago and it’s still in great shape. Second the shoe suggestion
A nice coat depending on your locale — winter is coming…
I’ll buy the gift card off of you for $750. That’s hard hard Venmo cash for something you got for free! Lol.
Tommy John underwear (if you’re a guy) good comfortable underwear is amazing. Also have some good quality shirts and stuff like that. Nice ties etc.
