In the later stages of interview process for an in-house exec role for a small company. Went through the process directly with the company - now I’m competing with another person found by an exec search firm. Company wants me to talk tomorrow to the exec search firm too so they can evaluate my experience. Feeling a lot of self doubt as the other candidate is a senior leader and has done this before - whereas it’s more of a stretch role for me… any advice?!
Client is looking to hire in-house and asked my opinion. What’s a good salary range for an IP counsel position for 3-5 years experience? Fully remote.
Got a job offer at a tech startup but I might have to take a small pay cut. It would move me from tech consulting work to a more product facing role. I only have a year of experience but I’m wondering if anyone else did something similar by pivoting their career path early by taking a pay cut and how it worked out?
Any suggestions on how to politely "not ace" a project interview? I can't escape the interview but worried about the project. It's a bit disorganized.
Do any fish out there have excoriation disorder (chronic skin-picking)? I acquired this really bad habit while WFH and am starting to fear that I will not be able to kick it before going back on-site. My finger tips are always bleeding to some degree or missing skin lol. Might freak the client out. Would appreciate advice if anyone has kicked this habit.
If you have 200 hours of PTO can you take 1 hour a day and end your day earlier for the rest of the year?
I am currently working as a Project Lead/Manager for a health care firm and wanna pivot towards TPM roles at tech firms. Need some inputs from current TPM’s on how their day to day work looks like? What the role as a TPM looks like? What are the challenges? etc… I am preparing myself to get into this role by trying to connect with TPM’s via LinkedIn, looking into posts/YouTube videos for interviews etc. Also applying for the roles simultaneously. Looking for some guidance/help..
Spending the New Year’s holiday in Annapolis MD. Will be there for about a week. Any family-friendly recommendations on fun things to do? (The youngest in our group is 16). We’ll have our own car so we also don’t mind a good drive somewhere.
I can’t stand people who are “taking time off” and are online doing work. Like, why?!? Have some boundaries for yourself. No one thinks you’re a hero for doing this.
Anyone familiar with EY Austin audit practice? Culture, client base, busy season hours etc?EY

Has anyone ever traveled with their small dog when they had to travel for a project? I would probably be taking the Amtrak not flying
How do you (politely) tell your clients that they invite you to too many meetings everyday? I’m in 6+ hours of client meetings every single day. I feel like I work for them (I’m agency side for a reason) and it’s challenging to have relationships with my internal team because I’m never around! Not to mention my actual work suffers.
Hi Fishes Have few questions about JPMC:- How is JPMC culture and job security? How much should one expect from JPMC for VP (Java) position in Hydrabad with 16+ YOE ?
Hey Fishes. Any idea about the base pay range at Accenture (MSS - Security ) for a Senior security Consultant role (4 YOE)?
Once you’ve secured a job (as a college student), how do you keep motivation up? Struggling with motivation, mental health, and the purpose to school now that I have a role lined up.
Recently started in Deloitte’s M&A strategy consulting practice. One of very few without an MBA, and everyone has top tier business degrees. Do I need/should I go get one to match the training/connections these people have presumably acquired from their programs? Am I disadvantaged without from broader exit opportunities?
What’s the most updated base+bonus for a Consultant level role at ClearView HCP? SC? Anyone know the stats for Back Bay LSA at the same level?
Will a cover letter significantly help my application while applying to MBB? Or significantly hurt if I don’t attach one? There’s nothing unusual about my resume to explain (i.e. employment gaps, reapplication, etc) so my CL would primarily be explaining why I want to work for the firm.
The new KPMG retirement package is called CAP. Capital Accumulation Plan. Pension gone, 401k revamped. % contribution from KPMG based on service credit. Expanded parental and bereavement leave. Anyone have some thoughts on it? FAQ is lengthy and I’m sure I missed something important
Does anyone have to work tomorrow (not given Friday off for the holiday? Or is their company giving Monday off instead? Or no holiday at all?
Hello Team, Hope you all are keeping well and good! I have salary negotiation coming up with Deloitte USI for consultant role for AWS. My YOE is 3.5. Please advice me on a realistic amount to settle for. Thanks.
Currently in NYC, considering another Sr.CW opportunity in Chicago. What’s a realistic salary range?
Just received a survey from EY titled application preferences. I was rejected from a finance staff role a few weeks back after the first round pre recorded interview… this survey asked if I’m still looking for a job, start date, and location and practice preferences. Is this common and is EY still hiring? TIA!
Looking for a comprehensive Math program that is suitable for a self contained classroom which touches the surface of the 8th grade curriculum.
This has probably been brought up before, but has anyone left big consulting for a startup boutique firm? Thoughts, comments, points of concern?
What are jobs and companies that require similar skills like consulting, digital marketing, etc. but have excellent WLB and are more slower paced...? I can’t imagine working my life away for client demands in a fast paced environment for the long term. Also the longer I progress in my role, the more I have to focus on sales and I hate sales so much 😢
Is it bad to leave right before busy season? My team has already lost an exp associate and another sr has family emergency but I'm thinking about leaving too before Jan. Will I get blacklisted?
Anyone exit consulting for investment banking? Got cold email and the grass is looking real green...
I will be graduating this Fall, currently interning for TI as a Product Marketing Engineer; I will most likely accept an offer for their Technical Sales Representative 9month rotation program. The pay seems great ($113k base&bonus + 115% - 250% Payout) after finishing the rotation program. I enjoy the Sales Engineer role and think TI is a great company. Is it worth it to still apply to other companies this Fall recruiting season? (I want to be in San Francisco and possibly NYC.)
