Mid-Level here. Giving notice and transitioning matters. Partner is demanding that I take a pro bono matter I have been staffed on to the new firm. Partner says I will be burning bridges, ruining relationships, and violating my ethical obligations if I don’t take “my” client with me. I didn’t bring the client in, just answered the firm’s call for assistance. Partner has indicated he will call my new firm and make demands. Has this ever happened to any of you associates? Advice?

Currently working as an in-house SEO for a big ecommerce company (fortune 500). Currently earning 65K CAD. Contemplating a position for SEO manager on another company, SaaS B2B, very small office (<50people), pay around 80-100K. It's not a startup.

I have been working with a company for about 6 years as a Recruiter but I don’t feel I’m gaining the best recruiting experience due to so many limitations our company has. I’ve had to teach myself Boolean searching to be more active in recruiting. I have not had the luxury of someone to truly mentor me into a Recruiter so I’m trying to find any way I can learn and be more employable. Any advice? 2. Small Product company (200 employees) - 32 LPA fixed

These “I passed the bar” posts on LinkedIn are getting a little ridiculous. Just saw a someone’s post about how they can now practice in any UBE jurisdiction. This person went to a top undergrad, HYS for law school, and works at a V5. It’s not that impressive to pass the bar, especially from those law schools which probably have a 99% pass rate. Bragging for bragging’s sake is tacky.
