Thoughts on exit to product role at Fundrise? 30k bump in compensation with similar benefits.
Got offered "Lead Analyst", Rank 44 in Consulting. Not able to find this position in the hierarchy. Can someone help me understand this position, usual YOE of this position and designation/years to next promotion. YOE - 3.3, Tech - Azure Data Engineer
Has anyone pivoted from government services to commercial? Funding it hard to explain my role and work to people outside gov contracting, so I'm realizing I need a good elevator pitch.
Welp I’m nearing my first month into this AAE position, and now I’m realizing why I should’ve really seen being hired 30 min after the last interview as a huge 🚩🚩. I’m on 4 accounts and all of the previous AEs are transitioning off completely, essentially leaving me as the account lead. I do have two directors who share my accounts but they literally started a week after me, so I’ve really been getting crash courses and left to swim. Not totally a problem, but considering my title and salary…
Just signed my exit-to-industry offer, and the sense of relief is palpable. Let’s hope the grass is greener!
Need advice! Been networking with a company for the past couple of months. Had a face to face with the hiring manager a week ago Friday.
I have 6+ years of work experience working as an Ops Manager in a 3pl company doing last mile deliveries. Highest level of education is MS Supply chain management from UMD. I have been thinking about making a career switch and go into consulting. What are my chances of getting calls from MBB? Or big 4? Or are there any other firms who focus mainly on Supply chain and logistics consulting? McKinsey & Company Boston Consulting Group Bain & Company Deloitte EY PwC Kearney
Hello cyber team! Can anyone help suggesting sys integrator/implementation firms that are focussed primarily on cloud and devsecops? Also do they match big 4 salaries to some extent? Tia!
How does Big Law (v50+) think of Big 4 experience? About 1.5 years of M&A tax experience to be exact.
Recent grad advice I’m a recent grad with no experience in consulting (thought I wanted to work in education). My degree was in Business Psychology for reference. Is there any hope for me to get hired entry-level at a Big 4? If so, any tips on making it?
If coming from a non-target school, should I mention that I got into deferred M7 MBA on my resume. I'm trying to lateral right now but I'm not sure how helpful the "better branding" is for this process. Sidenote: If any T2 firms are hiring laterals, I would love to chat.
Hi all, I am currently working at RB but I am interested in exiting to a tech strategy/product role after a few years. I was recently contacted by a recruiter at Publicis Sapient, and they do a lot of digital consulting. Which would position me better for FAANG in the future? RB but virtually no digital consulting, or a digital consulting house like Publicis Sapient? TIA
How is quality of life different of an MBB partner and a B4 partner. Is it really still a grind at MBB at that level? I have never seen a stressed MBB partner so not sure if it’s just a facade.
Having a conversation with HR this week about my role and comp. I’m making 10-15% less than my colleagues. Any advice?
Anyone want to work at Digitas? (Or really, any Publicis agency) Our referral bonuses are really high right now, so would loooove to refer someone! Help me, help you. Shoot me a DM!
Currently in financial services tax in PNW heavy compliance. I see Deloitte has tax controversy position opened up. Is tax controversy any better? Better growth opportunities? How about pay and WLB?
What’s a VP, Director? Interested in applying for a role with this title but I can’t tell if it’s equivalent to a traditional VP or if it’s equivalent to a Director.
ACN senior analyst 1YOE, have worked with primarily defense clients, but ready to make a jump to a far more strategy oriented role… willing to put in the hours, I’ve been kind of bored lately. Any MBB folks willing to take a look at the resume and consider a referral?
Has anyone lived in midtown apartment directly facing i-85 (.e.g. modera) or any other busy street? Curious if I’d need to consider avoiding at least 5th floor or below concerning highway/ street noise, pollution, etc. Or am i just thinking too much given apts say they are “double wall/ window” for outside noise protection. Thanks!
You're not a cat..
Confession - I don't want to go back to office. I'm happy working from home and find no solid reason in stepping back. I hope the flexi work culture allows permanent WFH - I don't have a "good enough" reason, but I don't want to go (isn't this good enough?) It's been 1.5 years now, too comfortable to step out from my PJs to jeans.
I fear my internship offer will be rescinded but I haven't heard anything. Should I reach out or just wait it out?
Hi 🐠, Whats the typical notice period in Capgemini? And any ex Deloittians in this bowl? How do you find the work culture in Capgemini when it compared to D. ? (Finance Role)Deloitte
How do you deal with the anxiety you get at the beginning of each week? I find it crippling
When I moved in-house a year ago as a BigLaw mid-level, I took a 45% pay cut, far more than I was comfortable with (although I was fine with a 20-30% cut). I took the job because it was a great role and I was focused on making the jump in house and developing the skills I wanted, which required me moving away from my firm practice area. Now that my year-end review is coming up, how do I ask my company for a significant pay raise (not just a 2-5% inflation-matching raise)?
Is K&E a toxic firm? I have heard nightmare stories from current and former attorneys there.
We’re hiring creatives like crazy on all levels. If you want to work on brands like Pizza Hut, Fruit of the Loom, Capital One, Southwest or the US Air Force, shoot me a DM!
Was contacted by a headhunter a few weeks ago and just had 3 rounds of interviews w/ a PE firm a week ago. New to this space and the recruiting process, but assuming radio silence for ~4 days means no dice?
How hard is it to move to FAANG from a relatively unknown boutique consulting firm? Are there extra leaps compared to MBB or Big 4, or if you get a referral you have similar odds?
Does anyone have the 2020 SHRM books for sale or to borrow? My job won’t contribute towards my certification. I’ve already paid for my test. I have the books from 2015 but I’d like to study from the 2020. I tried finding them online to purchase but sellers of affordable books aren’t responding.
What other consulting firms have a prominent supply chain consulting practice besides MBB, the Big 4 accounting firms, and Kearney?
I'm an engineer with 10+ years of experience in manufacturing and project management. Currently, pursuing an online executive MBA. I want to switch to the consultancy industry. Renoir Group is a boutique consultancy focused on operations. My skills are transferable and I need a recommendation if someone can help.
Lost 10 pounds in the last 12 months 😀😀
Hey Autistic/nuerodivergent fishies, What are some of the unspoken, universal social rules you've found in advertising? Extra points if you share how you learned 😅 Feeling kind of dumb today
