Best cyber security companies to join in sales?
Hi all, I’m a BDR at Fortinet @ with 10 months experience. There’s no progression and I’ve been offered a role in an e-commerce BDR role (series funding C) which pays about £12,000 more (60k OTE), company has a history of promoting people in just 6 months to AE which is what I want to be. Do you think it’s worth the risk as I’m in a well established firm going to a startup? Keen to understand the risks of going to a startup as a BDR too, assume it’s tougher! Fully remote, 2 months work abroad!
Hi everyone, I'm currently a BDR at SF for the french market. And I'm questioning my next steps. One of the two possible path ahead of me are:
- SmB AE
- Enterprise corporate sales ("Little AE" working in large account with a senior AE)
Which way seems to be more profitable for my next career plan ? (I'm a little bit tired of cold calling all day though.)
Should I stay at SF more few years or switch elsewhere ?
Thanks for your help ! Salesforce

I work in the construction industry, so not quite, but I know that supply chain issues and shortages are affecting us quite a bit still so I imagine your industry is seeing a lot of the same?
Our supply lines have actually stabilized quite a bit, only a handful of products we still struggle slightly with.
Apart from that, and I think you’ll probably relate, we’ve seen some insane rises in price.
Some products have doubled or even tripled in price as well as shipping costs have increased significantly, not the greatest combination.
I just heard this from a friend of mine who's working in that field. One of the challenges is the sudden increase in prices. He said it's really difficult to adjust the prices without losing any clients and still earn.
That was a huge issue for us, we are still feeling the effects too, really difficult going into hard financial times like these.
And it’s really starting to be apparent, 60% of our costumers pay late…
