I'm changing classroom themes this year, and thinking to try a more interactive, velcro word wall. Our word wall is just...there. I want to make flip chart stories for Language that include blank velcro spaces for our words, so that the kids see me pull and use them in read aloud examples.

Anyone else tried this? I'm hoping for durability through weekly use, here...

I’ve been hearing a bit of controversy over the importance of awards. What’s peoples take on ad awards nowadays?

Converting on a freelance-to-perm role, and the agency offered $10k less than my low range. I like the people but don’t love the client, and I’ve got enough cushion for a month or two. Do I:

a) feel grateful for a full-time offer during an uncertain time, and just accept?

b) counter with an argument about my existing value to the account, knowing that they probably won’t come up the full $10k?

c) stand firm on my range and tell them I’m prepared to walk if it doesn’t work for them?

I’m a big fan of the MAIP program but I’m just trying to understand why it doesn’t allow non-US citizens to apply?
