Many who repatriate are lured by a vibrant startup scene in India that is drawing unprecedented capital from venture and private equity firms and is buoyed by an effervescent market for stocks. But they are also disenchanted with what they perceive as America’s bleak and hopeless immigration landscape, where the wait times for green cards are tortuously long, and the limits on launching startups for newcomers are highly restrictive.

Try to stay at least until you have your baby. Good luck!
I cannot, as I will have to move to h4 and work won't let me take a break. And that ll be a while as well
Indian support network for a baby can a nice and house help is a HUGE plus
I think this would be my choice esp if they’re are offering the same pay package in india too. Depending on the city, the COL will def be lower than Canada, plus family and hired help is a huge plus.
Canada. Maternity leave is 1.5 yrs
You at least have the option to take full 1.5 yr (as long as the pay works out). You can also choose not to take it. That being said - you will have a lot of help in India which you won’t get in Canada.

Yeh jo desi hai tera..swades hai tera! Jokes apart, Canada just so your kid can be a dual citizen.

India 🇮🇳
OP: we were in same situation and moved to Canada as PR. Didn’t pay a dime for the entire pregnancy, child birth and post birth. While got very good health care overall and access to desi stuff in GTA is so great that you won’t miss India.
I am in Canada for almost 10 years. While free healthcare is good , there are cons too. Not to scare you but there have been bad incidents- not getting appointments on time. A friend of mine had to go to india after 1.5 months of post- preg because she was suffering through pain which dr here didn’t consider serious.

If you're going to have the baby in less than 6 months, b1 might be an option. But definitely get legal support on this
I cant do this cause I might lose my job if I decide to stay here
Deloitte doesn't offer same salary, they always convert to base location's average coat for your level + practice. Which business line are you in?
