Last week, I've voluntarily put in some overtime to craft an amazing project I am working on. For the love of the project, and because I feel it will be good for my career. While talking with some people a few days later, someone told me: "By doing that, you are helping to maintain a system where hard work and occasional overtime is expected of everyone." It led to an insane lecture about my work ethic. Is that person right? Should I feel guilty about doing that?

am a beginner UXer with a design education background. I just got a job as UI Designer. I am super anxious. I am good at research to wireframing. But UI, never done it before... high fid, design systems etc are all so new to me. This is making me so insecure getting into the new job what if I make a fool of myself? Any tips for sleep training a 9mo old? My husband and I are not on the same page at all. I would like to try the Ferber method, but our first attempt went horribly. We didn’t even make it through the first night, let alone the first 10min of crying. Our baby was crying so hard she was hyperventilating and standing up in her crib. Husband refuses to give it a proper try, claiming it is cruel, yet continually complains about lack of sleep. Idk what to do at this point. Help!!

In August of 2019, I hit rock bottom. I was working at a T1 law firm as a summer associate, and was constantly drinking (before work, during work, and of course at all the after work social events). Things got so bad for me someone reported my drinking to HR and an investigation was launched. I have been sober since. But now I am applying to be admitted to the bar and the character and fitness committee is making me relive my darkest time on repeat. It is very triggering. (Contn in comments)
