Miscarriage earlier this year and haven’t been able to get pregnant since. How do so many people deal with the stress of TTC and sadness from loss while doing the type of demanding work we do? I’m really struggling 😔

Sending hugs. I've been there. I had a miscarriage and a super demanding project. It was a nightmare trying to grieve, keeping up with fertility treatments and staying on top of work. I was on the brink of being put on a performance improvement plan. I ultimately decided to take a 3 month sabbatical. It was too much for me to handle. I took the 3 months to properly heal, mentally, physically, and emotionally without having to worry about work. I started treatments again after I returned and I got pregnant 4 months later. I really think that break helped.

It’s so so so very hard. Hardest part of life and career so far. You really need to make sure to take time for yourself. Start setting boundaries so you can get time away from the stresses of work and do something you enjoy. Also, try therapy. It did wonders for me. Hope is such a double edged sword. Sending ❤️

See an RE, get the proper tests and maybe some answers, come up with a plan and a timeline that works for you. That helped me.

To all the single moms and dads: how did you deal with the struggle of child care & work hours. I will make a challenging career move into a strategic role and I realized: the day has not enough hours (the night doesn't either). What worked for you (more nannies, baby sitters, etc)? How do you deal with a job which requires 60-80 hrs?

A H1B colleague’s father in India was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and is on chemo. He is concerned about when he should go visit because to return from India on an H1B he has to get his passport stamped and he hears there are long waiting lists to do that because government offices are still sporadically open due to COVID. And he is further concerned that if he gets stuck in India for a prolonged time, he would violate Firm policies about how long he can work outside his home office. Thoughts?

Ever since COVID, my skin has become much worse. I was starting to break out, leaving acne scars all over my face. Idk what to do. I’m 22 and I rarely broke out in high school. My skin was like a baby’s during freshman year. Is this normal? What products would you recommend for combination skin? I would also like to hear more about Ordinary products - they have so many but Idk which to choose after doing my research🙃

Need some advice from the mamas here! Want to buy a baby gift for my step sister that’s a little more thoughtful or higher quality than what’s on the registry (most of it has been bought already anyway). I’m 26 though so I have no idea what’s actually useful for a new mom! Any ideas?

I went out on 2 dates with this guy who is 35 and I am 31. I am attracted to him, like him, and looking for a future with him. I was thinking ahead that if we go ahead and have kids, they would be 10 when he is nearing 50. It somehow bothers me, does it bother anyone else or am I just being an ageist? I know there are many women who prefer older men but I haven’t ever been in that category so this is super new to me. Would like a response from someone who’s views changed in this area with time.

Would it be insane to buy a 1 bd home if there’s a possibility of having a kid in the next ~3 years? Assuming we’d have to look for a 2 bd if we do have a kid and try to rent/sell the 1 bd

Elon Musk says 'civilization is going to crumble' if people don't have more children. How is this true? Isn’t overpopulation the root cause of almost all our problems, specifically things like climate change, lack of housing, and traffic? I feel like a global one child policy would make the world lot better, it would reduce humanities total carbon footprint.

I don't have time to make purees at home. I buy from store all the time. I make sure it's organic and natural preservatives. I feel guilty that I don't give my six months old baby home made food ☹️

Left my desk for a little. My kid decided to cover for my meeting. He worked the group like a champ. Nobody noticed. I guess a 6 year old can do my job 😂

Hello Working Moms! Anyone from Accenture HR here.. I have been stuck in weird situation and need help.. I have been referred for level 7 as per my current exp. and expertise. HR has told me in in their system it shows it as level 10 across hiring procedure. Now they are giving me offer for level 10 which is absolutely not suitable for me.. so I requested HR for re-leveling if possible and he agreed. Now dont have much updates. want to know is it happened ever? I m tired this is never ending..

What does Product Management in the Professional Services practice of a large SaaS company do?
