Is it worth having a travel industry CC (ie Marriott)? I used to travel all the time for work but won’t be anymore and don’t plan to in the future so I’m not going to accumulating hotel points but don’t have enough for 100% free stays and want to start booking some trips in the near future. I currently only have CSR and CF.
Barely making my flight and the Uber driver asks me if he can stop to go to the bathroom 😓
Marriott merger decline is starting - just asked to provide my company ID at check in at Westin Dallas...
I am interested in exploring opportunities with firms that allow remote employees. Ideally about 50% travel to client sites in the financial services sector. Anyone aware of good firms with similar

American consultants who have switched to international offices: what made it worth it to you? I have an offer to join a European office. I find it super exciting, especially since I’ve not travel too much. But the pay is obviously much much lower, and COL is just as high as my current city. Question for anyone who knows, I have a Europe trip coming up next year and I am trying to travel to 4 different countries (Spain, Italy, France & London.) I saw an American didn’t need a visa for these four countries but my wife is saying she was told we WILL need a visa if we want to visit multiple European countries in a month span?
So i see seat availability for business class on American Airlines on expert flyer but when I call Etihad to book the seats they don’t see business class seats. Any suggestions or ideas? Flight is this weekend.
Ok, Partners. How many of you actually see travel requirements changing when we get out of this pandemic? Single guy here and I want a dog!

So peeps, office opening up. What's your plans on moving to Mumbai? Knowing apartment hunting can be a real bitch, some are planning to go back to hometown in the WFH week. i.e work at office at designated week and live in temporary accommodation, and then travel back.
Love when Bluetooth fails on the plane and Lil Pump / Kanye blasts on full volume. Good morning Delta Shuttle!
Quick question - can you travel with an Allen key in your carry on (for adjusting spin shoes in the road). It’s not sharp at all. Seems less dangerous than a pen.
Anyone know if the new Amex Plat 5x MR points for air includes our corporate cards? I've found the benefits all don't always carry over. http://about.americanexpress.com/news/pr/2016/new-travel-benefits-for-amex-platinum.aspx
Ladies just wanted to vent - I’m currently on an extended leave as my father wasn’t keeping well (and I travelled to my home country) to be with my parents as well as my husband (who was getting a few visa papers processed in our home country). Recently, I discovered that I’m pregnant and probably 5ish weeks at this point. I can’t help but think that my career would be so off track as I would need to request maternity leave as soon as I start work (probably 4ish months). This is our first contd
M here. I’ve done a lot therapy and reflection and realized I grew up believing in traditional gender roles. Although I logically believe in equality, I find myself desiring a traditional “wife stays at home and tends to the house” life. I’m ashamed of it, especially since my SO is a strong, intelligent, highly independent woman who likes to work, and I wouldn’t want to change anything about her.
I'm not ready to commit to serious dating and a relationship, but I also feel like everyone I meet either works for my employer or my client. Idk how to date über these circumstances.
Any thoughts on EY Parthenon in London? My friend is debating between an industry FT offer (lower salary, but like content and people) and an internship offer from EY Parthenon for next year with potential FT offer at the end.
🐠 who got Covid, do you know how you got it? Can you please share what you did that exposed you to someone with an infection.
Have your parent(s) ever given you close to the tax free gift of up to14k? Or parents, do you give out anywhere close to that 14k? Is this how people are able to save so much?
Anyone at RSM know how long you have to be at the firm to be eligible for the parental leave benefit?
How long do you have to be at your company to qualify for their maternity / paternity leave policy?
I recently switched employers. I used to have Kaiser Permanente health insurance & loved my doctors. Have been with them for almost 3 years. My new insurance isn’t so great, but because of employer contribution, it’s affordable to go that route. Has anyone paid for health insurance out of pocket? Thinking of just paying for it to keep KP, but it’s a difference of ~$200. Or just find new doctors?
Someone in the country is going to say something amazingly stupid and hateful comment regarding Orlando. Let diversity and peace prevail.
I've recently joined Deloitte India as a Consultant. One of the Associate Directors is forcing me to move to the base location ASAP. I'm not fully vaccinated and have my own inhibitons. 3 back to back deaths in my family due to covid. But he is not ready to understand any point and wants me to move. It's really taking a mental toll on me. What should I do?
