Missed joining a meeting with the client, that Microsoft had to drive. It was pretty quick as per the client. Hoping it doesn't reflect bad on me.

It does reflect badly on you.

I mean, you’re probably fine in general for this. But it’s still not a good look or a good thing to let happen.

You'll be fine. Apologize and don't repeat. I missed three meetings in a day, one of which was with the client coz I lost track of time while kicking some ass on RDR2. No harm done. Even got an Outstanding Performance Award few months after.

I need advice on when I am, and am not, permitted to buy publicly traded stock shares in which (A) the company is a firm client and (B) I did work for the company. In both scenarios, I lack material nonpublic information about the company; however, I also don’t want to risk the SEC asking questions. Is a 6 month or year-long cooling off period a good rule of thumb? Say after the IPO and doing zero work for the company? The trade would be under $10,000. Any advice would be appreciated. TIA.

I was hired as a client service associate, and had to get the SIE and S7 certifications to secure my employment, been here for a year now and really want to be part of the business aspect. I really want to be part of it more and have a seat at the table. Any advice for how to take me career development into my own hands?

Knowing that I have no tech. background/Education. If so where can I be best fit?

I am new to consulting. I was wondering. How do you approach a client/executive if you think they are going about a problem in the wrong way? They requested a data analytics project but I think they approach they are taking to get the answers is wrong. Right now, I am trying to communicate with different stakeholders to get a better solution. However, I am not sure how to pushback.

I've 6.5 yrs of experience in automation testing & agile methodology. Currently in CL9. I joined ACN with mindset that I'll move into management role after couple of years, but they put me into a project which is 100% opposite to my previous experience, both domain and techn wise. I'm planning to take up Agile Project Management role immediately (Scrum Master or PO) & my supervisor said he will help me making the shift. Is it worth for me to make this shift right now? Recently completed MBA.

PowerPoint gurus - I’m helping a client find short term help for an important presentation. Please DM me if you are good at storytelling and slide design. You will be compensated for this work. This will be a 3-4 day part-time engagement. I’m at a small tech focused firm, and don’t have in-house designers as yet. Plus I don’t want to spend hours building slides. Nothing illegal or fishy here. Thanks!

5 weeks ago I told my boss we need to start working on a “we’re open again” spot. She basically called me blind for not seeing that the Covid crisis was nowhere near finished and then accused me of not having enough work to do. This morning at 6 am she texted me - “Need you to kick off a ‘we’re open again’ spot with the agency. Tell them they have 1.5 weeks to stand it up.”

My last day with Deloitte was a week ago - I signed several authorization forms allowing them to withhold from my final paycheck the 1/2 of my sign-on bonus I owe back for leaving in 1.5 years, sans some FICA taxes. Today, I received a barely coherent email saying, “due to some glitch, the loan amount wasn’t adjusted from pay-stub”... and asking me to wire transfer the amount to them. It’s to the point that if it wasn’t on the same thread as the original email, I would assume it’s a scam. Wtf?
