Mom 🐠s, when people give baby gifts, what do you prefer? Thinking of getting a close coworker something for her newborn but i have no clue what and where to find decent baby stuff. If i buy clothes, which size/age do i go for since they will quickly outgrow it?

Just witnessed a mess on flight with flight attendants escalating a 2.5 year old not wearing a mask. We need to drop mask mandates for kids. It’s completely impractical and causing chaos for travelers and flight attendants. Europe is age 5 and that seems way more reasonable.

Lucky (I guess) enough to inherit ~$6M from my mother who just passed. We lived rather frugally and had no idea she had built up this kind of wealth so I'm pretty amazed. Father passed already so I am 100% taker. The mix is ~350k house, ~$100k condo, ~$1M in a stable value fund, ~1.5M in 401(k), ~1.5 in Roth IRA, remaining ~1.5 is in taxable brokerage and modest amount in her HSA. I live in a different state so I don't mind selling the properties. I have no clue how to think about this...

Have you ever asked a sibling not to use a family name for a baby they're expecting? My brother and his wife are expecting (14 weeks, do not know gender yet) their first baby and we are very happy for them. We currently have a toddler, but have had 2 early miscarriages this year following IVF. Moms I am in disbelief right now! Our au pair just said she wanted to go into a rematch due to our Covid restriction. We merely mentioned she needed to be very careful with who’s hanging with. She goes out on weekends without coming back. We do get concerns because 1. We don’t know who she has been with; 2. I have an elderly mother who’s at risk; 3. Our family is being very careful. We don’t go to places when unnecessary.

I’m pregnant, scared, and afraid to tell my partner. Neither of us want a baby right now but I’m scared terminating the pregnancy would ruin our relationship (i’ve heard stories of some men having resentment about it). At the same time we’re not ready to have a baby and that won’t help either. i just feel like this might be the beginning of the end of our relationship so part of me just wants to handle the is on my own. idk what to do.
