I’m a single mom of a young boy. My child is delayed in speech & receptive skills. I work full time & a full time mom w/ no family help. Im feeling very resentful towards my sons dad. I give her pacis instead but she spits them out quickly and doesn't bother looking for them bc her thumb is right there. Any advice?

Hi all! I joined my firm a little over four years ago for work life balance as it was a 10 minute drive from my daughter’s school and our home. Our office just relocated and now my commute is one hour each way. This isn’t what I signed up for and leadership is quite unreasonable about WFH flexibility due to my role (even though we did 1.5 years WFH due to Covid). How do I approach that I need some flexibility without putting my role at risk? What would you do?

How do you guys celebrate your bdays? Turning 35, don’t have friends nearby as I have been moving with husband since I was 25. Have a 3yo, so just 3 of us are a tight family. I want to feel good and do something that might be really nice and celebratory. Usually we get a cake and cut it between the three of us. It’s also on Christmas Day which is complex as not many things are open outside and want to celebrate Christmas home with my LO.

Need your advice on how to work full time with terrible pregnancy symptoms. I'm about 8 weeks along (2nd pregnancy) and the morning sickness hit hard. For 1-year-old kids, would daycare or nanny a better option? First time parents here.

We really like the social aspects of daycare, since we don’t have many friends with kids here and our family lives in Europe. However, sending the kid to school everyday can be inconvenient. We are willing to do that if our kid enjoys the social activities and learnings from daycare.

We find the good daycare can cost as much as full time nanny for 5 days / week, so cost may not be a huge differentiator here.
