I have an older version of this and it’s been really nice to have on hand. Light and easy
There’s a highly recommended cosco brand seat for travel. It’s light and adequate. We got one but ended up not using it because the padding was pretty minimal and we thought our kid would be uncomfortable.
Look into a rolling trolley for your regular car seat. We just did a trip with one and it was pretty doable even with super heavy car seat. Bonus our kid rode in it in the airport, eliminating need for stroller and keeping her corralled. She’s a really tall 3 year old but it worked out fine (feet didn’t drag or anything).
We have the evenflo tribute lx but heard cosco scenera next is good too .. both lightweight and easy to put in the car seat bag for check in
Cosco is for sure the way to go. Super light and like $40.
Another vote for cosco scenera!
Cosco scenera - it looks not that comfortable but our kid loves it. He can spend hours in there totally chilling and living his best life
Cosco Scenera, usually $35-40 on Walmart.com. Very lightweight
Expensive but lightest thing on the market is the wayb pico if your kid is age 2-5 (could be used age 1+ in some states but not really recommended). Full disclosure that they had a recall a few months back due to an issue with headrest but seems to be fixed now. It’s amazing: carries easily as backpack/strapped onto luggage, fits on plane and only 8 pounds.
We have a diono for traveling and it’s worked out great
