Mine brings her own but she is welcome to anything in our kitchen (but she’s never taken anything).

My nanny can use any food in the fridge/pantry to make her own lunch. Sometimes she does (thinks like bagel and eggs, pizza, pasta), other times she orders takeout. It’s unspoken but I think a given that she wouldn’t eat our leftovers or homemade food, though.

helpful

I always tell them they’re welcome to anything. Usually they take my Celsius and snack on whatever my kid is.

I pick up snacks that mine likes so she has them but I offered that up front . (Yogurts, fruit, etc)

Is welcome to snacks and such, but brings her own lunch. We make an effort to order in an buy her lunch a couple times a month.

Brings her own lunch but as others have said make it clear she’s welcome to snacks/beverages etc.

I was contacted by an Amazon recruiter for a remote Sr. Program Manager role. I took and passed the assessment and was moved to the hiring manager round which was scheduled for tomorrow. I got an email tonight saying that the Director of the group decided that the person must be in Seattle. I am in Austin, which is not an option. I’m disappointed! The recruiter will let me know if any remote roles come up but in the mean time, does anyone have any remote Amazon roles that they’d refer me to?

Looking for a remote/hybrid/onsite (Calgary,Alberta) job for my boyfriend who got almost 5 years of experience in proposal writing, RFP, RFI and bid management for a civil engineering firm. He also got an MBA, non drinker, non smoker, clean driving abstract and very polite. He gave out tons of cv in indeed job posters for the past 5 months, ends up becoming the filler candidate, took a huge toll in his mental health and we are going through some very rough patches. Can anyone please kindly help?

I wanted to spread a little positivity this Friday afternoon. I just started a new job after casually interviewing for several months at the start of the year to do a little research on the marketing job market, and then seriously interviewing/searching since May. After coming close with several other jobs but something always going wrong (low ball pay, role put on hold, etc.) I finally got THE job. I’m excited about it, I’m paid well, and fully remote. So don’t settle, and don’t give up! ✨

Two of my really good friends at work have had their work dry up in the past few months (because of the Rona). I'm like two months ahead of them on hours, and they're worried about not making their minimum billable requirements.

Feel sort of guilty and try to avoid talking about hours with them. I'm just hoping the firm doesn't give them trouble...

I’m divorced & have 2 boys, 6 & 4 yo. Last week I took the 6 yo for a pedicure and he chose blue nail polish, well aware that he didn’t have to choose any at all. FFW to this week. It’s a “boys weekend” (kids w/dad). Their grandad is also in town, since Wed. Dad has called to ask to have the boys in the evenings (i have W &Th, always). I have said “ok, but only if you don’t say anything negative about the polish.” So… they haven’t seen them. This hurts.

What is a useful, comprehensive but not too long of a book for parenting toddlers?

LO is 16 months old, very sweet and social, at the park every day with other kids with either me or her nanny. Not in day care. Yesterday we had a play date and she slapped another baby on the head. Not hard and did not scare her, but the act of “aggression” took me by surprise and I felt terrible about it. I’d like to be more proactive about toddler psychology, what’s to come and how to react/ teach. TY!

I have an extremely difficult 2.5 year old boy. I know this is a difficult toddler age altogether but I think I’m experiencing way worse. There are frequent tantrums in public settings and it’s very embarrassing. We can’t do anything. He’s in daycare and apparently he thrives, so we just don’t get it. Should we wait it out or consult a behavior therapist?
