Why do people buy condos if they don’t really appreciate in interest? Does that make sense as a first purchase?

Suggestions needed: I have a student who loves to fold paper airplanes, you name it... He tries to do it all day long. He is a BD/LD student who usually refuses to do any work. Offering him time to fold the paper as an incentive does NOT work - he folds it regardless of whether he should or not. Can anyone think of a way I can use this skill/desire instructionally and to my advantage? (I have already given him instructions on using geometry to improve his airplanes.)

I’ve had 1 observation this year (where the behavior was, of course, worse than usual), and the principal has stopped in my room maybe twice otherwise for like 5 minutes, and after my observation he said he wants to put me on an improvement plan. It seems drastic to me… I’m so stressed. He said I can have our union rep at our next meeting if I want when we talk about it…

Amazing! The state of Georgia shut down a clinic for vaccinating teachers after being told to vaccinate those 65 years and older. Just on the news. Hummmm. Georgia sure doesn’t value their teachers. Thank goodness I live in Michigan. My sympathies to Georgia teachers:(

Enrollment numbers are at an all-time low and expected to be even lower next year. Guess who will be the first to go? Elective teachers like me. But what about the funding we're supposed to be getting from the fed? Electives are never considered a priority.

So I have my bachelors in early childhood education (non licensure) and I just got my masters in special education with a certificate in autism. I am not licensed but wondering what will a good step other then a special education assistant. I was thinking to work in the college district to be a student support service worker. Unless there are others that I haven't looked at and be able to support myself financially.

How many of you start a new class in google classroom for each semester? I've been using the same one all year, but I want students to feel like the new year/new semester is a clean slate for them (no old assignments in it). Good idea?
