What do people do to power through rough stretches of consistent 15+ hour days? Some days I just can’t wake up in the morning before 8 am having gone to bed around 2 am for the last two weeks. But those early morning hours are crucial before the email and call frenzy starts. Don’t think this stretch is going to last more than a month or so, but it’s been like a year since I’ve had a stretch like this, and don’t recall exactly what the hell I did to survive last time.

So other than money (which is obviously very important) what’s the incentive to make partner? Is it crazy that I just want to do my work and go home to my amazing family without the added pressure of running a business and managing others? I’m only a third year (in a new practice area) so maybe the thought of being competent enough to ever be a partner just seems unrealistic. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Currently recovering from cancer and counting my blessings. Just a question for anyone who went through the same issue.
