The project I m working in gives me admin/assistant work to do but it is giving me opportunity to travel abroad for a meeting(1st vist in 8 years) I asked for a roll off from the project but asked my manager to speak in such a way with the onshore that it does not hamper my travel to happen in 1st week of next month but instead of that he chose a different path and now my travel plan seems to get cancelled by onshore,....continued in chat

Considering buying a home for the first time. Do I need to stop applying for credit cards 120 days out from the mortgage application (or more)? 26 yrs old, been in consulting since finishing undergrad. Worried that I haven't narrowed my focus or found a niche to be specifically great at. Every project has been completely different... And I am constantly reading books to get smart on every other topic. My guess is this is all too common in consulting.

Potential incoming KPMG experienced hire looking to negotiate a comp. Nearing 14YOE with an MS. Currently at 220k base (4-6% annual bonus, 9% 401k match) at a company, and want to bring me on at the Senior Associate level (lol I know, I know). Gonna try to upgrade to a Manager level role if possible. Based on where I’m at, is KPMG going to even be close? I’m okay with a lateral move as well, since I’d like experience and branding also.

Just got an offer for different finance (still industry) role - 50% raise to $165K TC plus two additional direct reports to me.
