I recently got a comp adjustment approved (+15%), and they added a retention bonus on top - which was a total surprise. But it’s less than 10% of my comp and way smaller than what they’re giving SC and Ms (I’m an SM1). Unexpected money is great, but it’s not a very compelling amount for retention. I’m not looking to leave, and the amount would be easily covered by a signing bonus elsewhere - but it is kind of silly to me that they’re offering a retention bonus thats so small. Would you sign?

Hi folks, when I joined my organization, I started at a lower annual salary and no esops. But with subsequent appraisals my salary has improved in 2.5 years. Also I have been granted some esops (not included in ctc) and their value has also increased.

I'm wondering as to what should I tell recruiters what my current ctc is?
Should I account the value of esops in my annual salary to give them the ctc , if yes then how should i calculate it?

In the second round, Interviewer didn't even asked me my current salary and salary expectations, should I consider myself rejected? 😅

My fixed salary cash component is 21L and with employer pf contribution and variable component it comes to around 24.5L. Above this I have stocks worth 6 lakhs every year for next 4 years which gets assigned to me quarterly. What is my CTC that I should tell people? Is it 30L (24L salary + 6L annual stocks) or should I say 48Lakhs package (24L salary + 24 L total stocks)?
