More interesting “quality” work but not so great team, colleagues and partners vs. less interesting work but decent team and reasonable partners. Which would you choose?

Reasonable partners. I've never understood interesting vs. less interesting work. It's all turgid drudgery. I'm here to beef up my resume and then I'm gone.

Fair enough. Though I’ve worked at two firms so far and I can say with certainty that clients and work quality matter to a certain degree.

It depends on how much less interesting the work is. There is tolerable and then there is this is so boring I want to die. The later drove me away from working with amazing people. I just couldn't take it anymore. I still do some of the former mixed with more interesting work.

Decent team. I moved for quality work and ignored red flags about the team. More than half my cases still aren’t what I’d consider “quality,” and even on the ones that are, most of your day-to-day work is the same drudgery whether the case is “quality” or not.

Depends on what is more likely to get you through the day. If you’re more interested in the work, will you care in the colleagues are meh? Or vice versa, if the work isn’t keeping you interested, are colleagues that are just decent/reasonable enough to keep you engaged?

The good colleagues matters more but its the work you have to choose. Anyone can resign, it's a dangerous game.

The latter for me

Interesting work first. If you do not learn, how will you progress? Ofc if the work environment is extremely toxic...

I'm pretty proud of the progress I've made when it comes to staying on task in my work life. What I'm having bigger issues with is transitioning from one thing to another. Ex..I'll go to pour a glass of water after finishing something, realize the trash needs to be taken out, realize I need to walk down to pick up my mail, etc. Any tips on making this easier?

Landed a good offer from a company but I think I can do better. Asked for a signing bonus but they refused. Got a similar offer from a company I am not as excited about and I am using it as a leverage but still refused. What else I can do?

Thinking about going to my current manager and ask him to match the offer and if so come back with that to the current recruiter.

Any more ideas?

Two of my really good friends at work have had their work dry up in the past few months (because of the Rona). I'm like two months ahead of them on hours, and they're worried about not making their minimum billable requirements.

Feel sort of guilty and try to avoid talking about hours with them. I'm just hoping the firm doesn't give them trouble...
