Hi all, recently a recruiter from Amazon reached out for an SDE 2(2+ years of exp. required) role and I'm a recent CS grad. I gave the OA (which was extremely difficult w/ 99% cut-off) and other tasks related to the OA. A few hours back, I got a call from the recruiter that I had cleared the assessment and tasks and said that they are looking for 2+ years of exp. I said I'm open to the SDE1 role and said she'll ask her colleagues. Idk what to expect now 😥 Amazon Amazon India

Tell her to go to google and try Glassdoor coz an excellent resource to know the types of questions asked. So I typed in ‘Morgan Stanley Internship Questions Glassdoor’ https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&cd=&ved=2ahUKEwi5udHf0KX7AhWRUcAKHb2dC14QFnoECCMQAQ&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.glassdoor.co.uk%2FInterview%2FMorgan-Stanley-Internship-Interview-Questions-EI_IE2282.0%2C14_KO15%2C25.htm&usg=AOvVaw01wzMWnnG3j78hUDitie4C
What arm? I worked at MS
hello, I have an interview for a compliance role in a few days at MS in HK. Any advice or suggestions for me?
Go in confident. Be honest with your answers. Know yourself/resume. Show curiosity, ask some questions yourself.
Best of luck to your daughter!
It will be a mixture of:
-tell us about yourself, club involvements
-why MS, what you hope to get out of this internship
-where do you see yourself in 5 years
-expand on previous internships and 2-3 skills learned there
-basic behavioral questions
-technical familiarities (Excel, SQL) — back when I interviewed some candidates, there was a big emphasis on coding and Excel skills as these will be a big chunk of their internship
A pointer: have her read up on the MS acquisitions (ET, Eaton Vance). Especially on the Wealth side, have her bring up to the interviewer a point or two (even if not prompted) on the ET acquisition which brings in big business for WM, targeting clients who typically do not fit the legacy MS client population. With the state of the economy, there’s big emphasis on the Wealth side of the business.
If she landed an interview, she’s more than half way in. Just tell her to be herself, highlight achievements in school/previous internships. At the end of the day, everyone receiving an internship interview are qualified as applications are rigorously analyzed—just a matter of culture fit, assessing communication skills and seeing how she can think on her feet at this point! Goodluck :)
Thanks so much.
