If you are giving the reason that Covid is gone, and we have to come back to office we will give the same reason that we need to wait!
We can't just shift and after shifting will you guarantee us that we won't be hitting with another wave? We will be leaving our family, paying rents and paying our deposits? So you want us again to empty the flats and move back to family risking everyone?
We are working from home, we are productive enough and if we weren't D would have never seen the accelerated growth! We might not need permanent work from home but definitely we are looking for long term work from home!!
If you want to go to office please go and work productively don't you try to blame people if they aren't willing to come.
Easy for you to say because you probably work 9 hours a day in office. For some of us, we work with people (none of whom are at the base location) for 12 hours a day minimum. So we should go to office, network for some 2 hours, work for the remaining 6 hours, go back to our apartment where we're all alone, and work another 6 hours because 12 hours has to be completed irrespective of networking and travel time right?
I have worked in offices before the pandemic as well. It is not the fear of COVID but the fact that a 12 hours working day will now become a lot worse because of this added hassle.
Who said people don't want to come to office because of COVID fear, people want wfh because they like it.
Author - Yes. Even i saw some posts where ppl are hoping or clinging on to 4th wave for covid to continue WFH. This is just sad. Getting low to another level.
We should rather hope that we don't see any further covid waves.. people are dying due to that.
That said, WFH has its own flexibility and people who want to leverage it for few more months should be allowed to. If a bachelor who wants to stay with his/her family rather than staying in far away place with "friends", what's wrong with that?
Okay manager

Yeh woh log hai jo ghar me reh reh ke apni biwiyo se pareshan ho chuke hai aur office ke naam pe kuch ghanto k liye chutkara paana chahte hai apni biwi se door hoke 😂
Yeh un logo mese hai jinko ghar pe biwi sutta fukne nahi deti toh sirf sutta fukne k liye office jana padta hai inko. 😂

And folks who have issue in going back to hybrid model are majorly from tier 2,3 cities or villages.
To go and work 8 days in a month they will have to now leave their family, rent a new place and setup everything.
Either take this hybrid thing out and ask folks to come to office regularly
Or give folks flexibility to work from anywhere
💯 Exactly!!!!

I believe the one which don't want to go to office are the one who didn't want to relocate back to base location.
People who stay in base location, most of them are ok to come to office once or twice a week.
Exactly. The ones who already are at base location, they are mostly okay going to office. For the ones who are not at base location, the decision has a lot of variables involved. Even I am at base location, happily living with my family. I don't mind going to office here and then. But, we need to respect others feelings too
And how exactly is this hurting you? Does it bother you that the rest of us don't like living in dusty cities with tiny apartments and paying exorbitant rents?
Exactly i dont know why its bad to live with family and to be with people who won't even remember your name once you leave the firm
Going to malls and pubs is a choice. Going to office is an obligation. There's the difference.

get ready for the wave of hypocrites abusing you based on YOUR opinion which they don't like.
So true 😂😂
Uncle D should mark a certain component in the salary as office commute component and that should only be paid for actual number of days a person goes to the office vs number of days they are expected to be.
Ex. a Senior Manager should decide if a Team member should be in the office for 6/8 days out of 22 working days. If the person goes to the office 4/8 they get half the amount. Else they choose to forfeit it. Everyone wins 😂 especially the ones who cry they want to go to the office and bullies who call out names.
DUSI2. I am the one who has been going to office for last 2 months. But I firmly belive choice needs to be of employee to work his/her flexibility. And giving additional monetary benefits is a clear sign of discrimination
What a dumb post. Hope you get it why it's dumb with the barrage of comments calling out your dumbness
Aren't you a debbie downer
Fresh graduates who joined in last 2years have not experienced office work culture. Let the office going practice begin. This will help them to experience and grow learn faster. Wfh not going to help them. So seniors stop making noise and return to base location. Still you going to get hybrid model to wfh few days in a week. Respect the organisation decision. All are vaccinated by this movement and can't hold back so long. If still want to be in shell look for permanent wfh options. There are permanent wfh opportunity around you
Let me tell you, have newly fresh graduates in the team, they are confident and trust me they are way too curious about the work and keep asking questions! WFH really benefited the engagement process with great team effort! They are doing much better than the people who once worked in office!
I don't feel that WFO will bring much change, it will be just for few months and the things will be the same later, so WFH is helping the team doing much better, tbh, no complaints! They are saving their commute time, saving money and most importantly people are getting the family time.
Deloitte should care about its client delivery at the priority and employee benefits, if employee is willing to WFH and showing consistent performance, I see there is no point in forcing the employees to come back to office, even if the COVID-19 is gone, this flexibility should be given to employee..!
Personally I like WFH, why should I waste my time in commuting which is not adding any value at all
I dont go anywhere. The places you mentioned. Going to office is not about corona for me. Its about living far away from hometown and staying away from ggn city
Staying away from that city is very important. I can attest that.
The guy is from a tier 1 city who can't understand what is it like to be away from family for useless reasons.
What's the problem with people wanting to wfh. They do all the work PLUS get time for a life. Win win situation.
Pro
It's people like OP who don't have personal lives that are looking towards going to work. Plus the fresh graduates that think office is going to be some sort of extension to college
Bilkul sahi kaha bhai. Hypocrisy ki bhi seema hoti hai
I travelled only once as my sister had a child. Quarantined myself in a hotel for 7days before visiting. Am I excused from your need to socialise or do you have a real reason to meet up face to face?
