I need some leads to start interviewing. SM be moving me from one project to another like they want to see me fail. Each time i find my feet and start getting appreciation, I'm moved to some other project.

Got hired as an IT consultant a year ago after graduating with a CS bachelors. Haven’t touched a lick of code since and I feel like I’m falling behind. Has anyone been or is anyone in the same boat?

I’ve seen about a half dozen photos my friends/influencers have posted to instagram this week that show infants and children in improperly installed car seats or improperly buckled. Posting the biggest problems here as a PSA:
-do not use both LATCH and seatbelt to install your car seat unless your car seat explicitly allows it (check manual)
-do not use an infant car seat once your child reaches the height OR weight limit OR has less than 1” of space between the top of their head (cont.’d)

To those not familiar, the less professional part of the web has been abuzz with controversy over probability in a videogame, complete with statistical analyses pretending to be written up as papers. The gist is that a speedrunner (someone who tries to beat a game as fast as possible) got extremely lucky or cheated. The whole fiasco has unfolded into multiple freelance gigs and rebuttals. Pretty entertaining read, do recommend looking it up.

What do you do when you are more senior in experience/title, but the hierarchy at work isn’t clear, and you have to act as partner to someone less senior, who constantly says you’re their partner, so the new boss/everyone sees you as less senior? Should I casually mention to the boss that I’m happy to act as partner with the juniors even though I’m more experienced, since they don’t have someone at the same level to work with? Or will that just make me look bad? Don’t wanna ruin relationships

Is it normal to be referred to google and not even get selected for a first round interview? Applied about 2 weeks ago (during Christmas break).

I had a phone interview with a big company last Wednesday.
The recruiter said that the director had reviewed my resume and was interested but wanted him to screen me.
He said “the job is yours” because I had “everything they were looking for” salary was within their range ETC…
He said someone will follow up with the next steps(video interview) Tomorrow will be a week and I haven’t heard anything not even a response to my thank you email .. I don’t know what to think 😫

My professional experience is mostly in brand, social and event marketing, but after completing grad school, I’ve realized that I’d love to get into the product side of things. Many brands and agencies are severing relationships with Facebook right now, but do we expect the same from our industry advocacy groups? Sure that money goes to a good cause, but it doesn't sit right that an org that is pushing progress for POC takes money from Facebook.
