Used to be high tech who had the ability to hire top talent who looked down on consultants . Now financial services has that pole position
In terms of boring you to tears - government work wins hands down . Paint dries faster
Funeral / Mortuary services. People are literally dying to get in.

People also lose their souls after spending a year or two working there
Non profits. Such good intentions surrounded by such incompetence.
Tech - a lot of smart kids with little experience that think they know what they are doing
C1, that describes basically every organization that is STEM-focused, whether it’s industry, government, academia, or non-profit...and it’s not always just the kids. Lotsa older folks who think that having a Ph.D. means they’re smart at everything, not just their field of study.
Public. Nothing gets done and full of lazy people.
Especially if they are unionized !
Consulting for consulting firms
Might be doing that right now...
Financial/Banking. If they are an older company, you have to go through politics first and then their archaic way of thinking in regards to technology
Public for sure, slow and sluggish, people threatened by change and not paid enough to care.
Any engagement that has a law firm involved has had crazy hours for me.
I would say PE because they have high pace of work
Yes and no. If they have absolutely no idea on the subject you are consulting on, like IT, they can be pretty hands off and just lap up everything you say
Life sciences
Tech. Coding. GAFAM. Especially research scientist.
Some of the least pleasant experiences I’ve had have been at power utilities.

Telecom
The military. 24-year-olds in suits showing up to try and tell career officers what to do, that always goes well.
