Alt + F4

Right?

Select row -> Ctrl + \
Let's you know if there's any inconsistency across the row

like

This is pretty huge

Ctrl + ] to jump to a referenced cell, F5 Enter to jump back.

Useful for auditing workboks

like

- Binding a "paste format" macro to Ctrl-Shift-V
- Ctrl-enter while editing a cell to apply formulas without ruining formatting (as opposed to Ctrl-r/d which way too many people still use)
- alt + "=" for quick sums

You can bind it to keys using a tool like arixcel, otherwise yes

F4 - repeats your previous action. GOAT of all shortcuts

I need advice. My girlfriend lives a few states away in school. She’s got 3 years left. I just started a new job that’s full time remote. I live in a place I absolutely love and could live in for the rest of my life. Now, I’m a bit stuck. On the one hand, I want to live with my partner. On the other hand, they are stuck there and I don’t want to live there (higher taxes, worse climate, fewer things to do). And somehow, I feel like I’m the bad guy for not wanting to move. I don’t know what to do.

Stupid question. In the H&S salary report, are the splits by size of the fund based on the fund itself or the PE firm? For example, Blackstone has 800b+ aum but any specific fund within Blackstone manages something less like let’s say it’s a $30b fund or a new fund that’s only raised $2b so far? Would the salary report be based on the company level aum or the specific fund (even if it’s a brand new fund that hasn’t raised much within a larger firm)? My guess is the latter or somewhere between.

Hey guys, I am an incoming Bain AC in europe (DACH region) and potentially looking into making the switch into PE later on in my career. Whilst i am aware that it is early to ask, what are some key aspects to follow, how/where to improve to potentially make the jump to a MF or UMM? Is there even a chance as a managment consultant? Do you know of people who managed the jump, if so what time of their career and how? I am asking this early as i know time flies when you then start working!

Need help on deciding to stay or accept new job offer:

Current role pros: a lot of responsibility, on investments team, like industry focus, good growth potential, CEO loves me, more “prestigious” for whatever that’s worth, learning more really smart people - new role pros: matched base and bonus, better WLB, carried interest - new role cons: switching out of investment to portfolio management, don’t like industry as much, less “prestige”, forgoing bonus I’ll get in March no sign on bonus
