Has anyone gone from small real estate development company to big REIT? I’m being told that hours are the same (if not less) at the REIT, but I find it hard to believe. In my small company now, I frequently work after hours and take calls from the owner outside of normal business hours. The base salary is over $100k more than I currently make so I’m just wondering if it’s too good to be true.

This might be controversial but I work with several older Black folks, and it's from that I've experienced the most criticism or judgment at work. I think it's probably coming from a good placed and from their lived experiences at the firm, but it's discouraging. Not the case for everyone, but it's happened more than once where I work.

We're always looking for new ways to make things easier for our customers and clients, but sometimes I just want to take a step back and breathe.

After looking at the investment career track and how much faster people move up, what is the incentive for someone to stay in a planning/strategy role at a media agency? Especially when planning has to cover for other teams who are not delivering on work yet those same teams continue to be rewarded with insane career progression. Am I the only one going crazy here?
