Best office chair? My back is so angry with me.
Hi All, I recently interviewed at Amazon and Google for software engineer and passed both interviews. I have an offer on the table from Amazon but with Google I am officially in team matching and my recruiter tells me that the queue is pretty backed up now and it can take a long time. My question is should I take the Amazon offer now or decline Amazon and hold out for Google? I have heard that Google has better wlb/benefits. But I'm scared to decline Amazon without a guaranteed job offer.

It’s getting hard to see it happen this year. How can they pass the Bill after the election if Trump isn’t re-elected or change in house or senate?
I think at best they will strike a skinny bill for unemployment and Few things like that.
Gut feelings are the most accurate.

Second paragraph 1-4 in this article sums up exactly where my mind is at. 2008 deja vu, unless Dems sweep. https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2020/10/21/why-mitch-mcconnell-is-trying-kill-big-stimulus-before-election/

It’s all about the politics. Most ppl know a stimulus is needed since travel, hospitality, food & bev etc. is a long way from coming back. The comeback is faster when you spend. And the downside is pretty horrendous with evictions, bankruptcy, unemployment’s Rs won’t want a fast recovery bc it helps Dems. It’s the same thing they did to Obama in ‘08, trying to kneecap recovery so they could blame him in 2010 mid-terms. The 1-4 scenarios sum it up nicely.
