Most of my friends are now working in EU countries and whenever I think of applying too, I tend to get emotional when I think of leaving the country. Sad thoughts.

Need advice on a specific question!
Interviewed with Chicago court 2 weeks ago; they decide mid-August. Interviewed with DC judge last week; hear from him by this Friday. Chicago said if I need an answer before August, they'd try to make a decision about me sooner.
Should I ask Chicago for an answer? Or should I wait until there's an offer from DC judge? Maybe seems better to withdraw before an offer is made rather than ask for time to think about it/turn down DC? What's proper etiquette?

Has anyone ever been in a mostly platonic relationship? I don’t like to label myself much, but I don’t really like intimacy and don’t really like romance. Some people would say I’m asexual/aromantic, but unless that too is a spectrum, I don’t think I fit squarely into that group. As I get older, I’m realizing I’m feeling very lonely. It would be nice to find someone, but have it be platonic (any gender/sex). It’s weird, I know. It’s hard to articulate as well. Can anyone relate? 😭😭

My current CTC is 8.71 LPA and overall experience is 4.9 years. I have an offer of 14.5 LPA. I am currently giving interview in HCL. How much should I ask from them? Does HCL have variable component and how much they pay of that?

I am looking for a balanced work life and job security so want to get in there.

Any advice on how to leverage current interviews for more? I’m deep into a process at one firm but would like a couple more irons in the fire.

For context I’m mid-level, coming from consulting, and current process was reactive to an agency. Haven’t done any other leg work.

How do you help someone get out of depression?

For those of you in consulting/finance/high intensity jobs, what medication do you use for anxiety? Currently using a beta blocker as I’m afraid anything more will cause cognitive impacts.

Has anyone experienced difficulties with speech/thinking through taking anti-depressants or from suffering with long term depression? I first started noticing difficulties in articulating my thoughts at university and my career in consulting has only made this more prominent. I feel embarrassed, really depressed and incompetent because of this. This is one of the greatest anxieties I have regarding my performance and I find it is really effecting my development.

My therapist just told me I'm depressed..do you ever feel like they tell you things you hear a lot or could have figured out on your own? Like take care of yourself, it's ok to feel such and such, etc. I'm still newer to therapy so wondering if that's the common experience? Do you ever have moments where you're like wow that actually is eye opening and I wouldn't have gotten that from reading self help books and websites etc?

sigh* last week Saturday my s/o & I broke up after our 3 year relationship. & it really been affecting me negatively — not eating, autopilot mode, self isolation & diving deep into work.
