Has anyone else developed a massive paranoia about getting fired? I’m terrified that any mistake will get me fired. My manager is very emotional in their reactions so it’s traumatized me a bit
What is the general consensus on online I/O psychology programs? I’m looking to pivot into HC consulting and am strongly considering USC’s online MAPP or Harvard Extension School’s I/O Psychology graduate program.

Hey everyone, looking to help a lot of people with their health coverage before open enrollment ends. If you or someone you know needs help with this, I’d be happy to help explain everything and filter through all of the options that won’t work for them 😊👍
I wish the CC button came with a literal brick that I could hurl at various people's heads reminding them to use it...
Planning a surprise bday trip to Vegas for my boyfriend’s 30th. He’s never been to Vegas before. Any favorite hotels on the strip? Going in December for a weekend. TIA!
How to get into a BiG4 ?
Worked in Financial Services and Wealth Management for 12 years. CFP working in the banking channel and completing my MBA within a few months with a focus in Mergers & Acquisitions. A curious question -
How do you switch from Tech Consulting to M Consulting?
I understand pursuing an MBA is the most logical way.
Curious to see any other inputs/options, personal experiences?

I am the only immigrant with an accent in my office and it’s almost a daily thing now that my bosses/coworkers would explain terms to me that I already know. I’d often freeze when they do that because my first reaction is always confused. How do you talk about it with them after the fact especially when it seems like it’s not a big deal to them?
Looking for a chief financial officer to assist with pre-seed financial development of the start-up I am founding. If anyone would be interested please send resumes to General.BHN@gmail.com
God imagine working DEI at Twitter 😂😅
I'm dealing with some toxic masculinity at work from someone that works on my team. Does anyone have advice on constructive ways to address this type of behavior?
Shortly after George Floyd's death, this video commentary by Kimberly Jones went viral. As a white person, it's hard for me to watch because of its powerful raw truthfulness. But I think every white person should sit down and watch this video because it clearly explains the frustrations and fears of Black people as well as the BLM movement and the difference between protesting, rioting, and looting.
Just thought this to be very thought provoking, challenging some unconscious bias and stereotypes.
“I must honestly confess that I go through moments of disappointment when I have to recognize that there aren’t enough white persons in our country who are willing to cherish democratic principles over privilege. But I am grateful to God that some are left.” This quote is from MLK in 1968 about how he sensed the movement was losing the battle for the soul of the nation.
I’m trying to cultivate discussion oriented DEI spaces, any topical themes that would make fun and engaging discussions?
Does anyone have experience with starting a Business/Employee Resource Group? I would really like to start one for Middle Eastern and North Africans as my company does not have one. There are many discussions that could benefit others and opportunities for intersectionality here. TIA!
My company has ERGs and one of them is pretty large and includes a lot of demographics. Within it, people are starting to kind of form their own subgroups (like based on office location or country-specific ethnicity). Does anyone have any thoughts around what would be appropriate for DEI practitioners to be aware of when serving these populations?
In honor of National Voter Registration Day, The New Yorker released the transcript of a previously unpublished interview with James Baldwin, who gave a first-hand account of "Freedom Day 1963," a Black voter-registration drive in Selma, Alabama. Baldwin's descriptions from that day are so vivid and detailed that you can feel the fear and anger of the event. If you have a couple of minutes, I highly recommend you read it.
How do you deal with your “mentor” being threatened by your performance and gatekeeping information from you? Then turning around and giving you shit for not knowing things… but they don’t tell you anything and there is no way for you to know. My learning and development is being hindered and I’ve felt this for a long time, but coworker just confirmed this is the case. Now that I know I’m not “crazy” for thinking this, how should I approach this?
Hey! I created a bowl for DEIB practitioners and employers/hiring managers who need contractors or candidates .
hi! I work for an early-stage Fintech startup called Fennel; (www.fennel.com) focused on impact investing as well as shareholder activism and giving every day investors the tools they need to make informed and aligned decisions. I'm wondering what people think of this space and about ESG, given that there has been a lot of relevant media attention recently & would love to know if people make investment decisions based on factors like workforce equity, ceo pay, etc?
My boss makes jokes about me being from a different country whenever there is a work meeting or a gathering with coworkers, even though he knows where I am from. This usually occurs when I meet new work-related people or for example if I am in a situation that involves ethnic related subjects.
What is this? This is normal?
The first time I ignored that, but now it has become a pattern and is bothering me now. I am south-American working in the UK.
I'm in desperate need of tips to get genuine buy in from our predominantly white, male senior leadership to create a more inclusive environment. As is often the case, middle management and below is very diverse and then at Director+ it gets much more homogeneous. So far any real initiatives get shot down in favor of performative actions to post on SM. Is this just how it is, or can we try something different?
Definitely took the wrong job. I was offered a seriously competitive salary and great benefits to work at a well funded startup, which is great! Turns out the salary and benefits were meant as lowkey bribes to insure I worked at the company without actually doing any work. Every single suggestion I've made has been shut down and I've been ghosted for several meetings with the CEO. What should I do? Just leave?
Hi! My buddy, who’s also a consultant, released his poetry book and I thought I share to encourage you all to support him! Please do! https://www.amazon.com/Mahogany-Reflections-Young-Black-Man/dp/1737465302/ref=nodl_

I recently moved to Toronto from New Jersey. I’ve been applying with little success. I have a background in healthcare, non-profit, and public health. Any advice on what company I should apply to?

Other things that IT professionals can do is look at the software/programs that they're using. (Depending on the nature of the business of course) Making sure websites are deaf/hard of hearing friendly. Options to put in preferred names/pronouns if it's a user interface. Take a look at vendors that you're using and try to diversify them while keeping the business needs in perspective. Also taking a look at the demographics in the IT industry and being aware of the gaps.
Do an audit of your own department/business unit. And by that I mean go through an intentional process of examining what inequities exist in your own internal practices and how your own practices may contribute to existing inequities. It may be helpful to bring in someone from outside the department/unit to facilitate the process.
