Oh another one but it was more of a question during an informational interview - âoh your husband is a venture capitalist in Boston earning well, why not become a probono attorney or somethingâ

Idk why people think this is silly. I personally would be an apricot. If you know me in person youâd immediately know why, and it says a lot about my skills as a lawyer.
I was once asked to describe a time I had been dishonest. And then when I said nothing was immediately coming to mind...I got âso youâve been 100% honest every day of your life??â
Who is your favorite actor / actress and what is your favorite movie of theirs.
As a 3L (female) interviewing with a state court judge (male) for a clerkship: What does your father do for a living? He died when I was young. Oh, does your mother work outside of the home?
Later in the interview: Are you married? No. Why isnât a pretty thing like you married yet?
This gives me the creeps.

This happened in a foreign country when I just started my legal career- âdo you intend on get married soon and thinking to start a family soon).
I donât remember how she worded the question exactly, but she explained they donât typically hire young associates and then asked me to compare myself to their current associate who I had never met before... (also a young person I presume??)
