How many others are spending Christmas eve away from home due to an incompetent manager and an unyielding client? No perspective with some people.
What's the best industry job you've discovered during one of your engagements? Why was it interesting for you (lifestyle, subject matter, uniqueness)?
Can anyone help me with an information on salaries at Deloitte? How much does a SAP manager make? Curious of a range if anyone is aware (I know it depends on a lot of factors). Thanks!
Project wants to keep me on even though I do nothing all day. I mean I literally sit and watch YouTube videos from 9:30am to 3pm and check out to the hotel. Client loves me. WTF do I do I’m trapped
What do you all do after work on the side? Run a blog or startup? Side businesses? Hobbies? (inspired to do more with my free time 🙌)
Dear Partner1, is making partner kind of like going into high school? According to your old friends back in middle school, you have "made it". Older kids think you're just a 9th grader newbie
Late night thoughts - I cannot figure out when to throw in the towel on consulting. I just switched to a Big 4 role two weeks ago and I feel like my stress has shot up significantly. I hate traveling for work and I want a role with good WLB. I know two weeks is nothing and I feel like a failure for giving up so easily but I feel I'm just not made out for this kind of life. Should I just suck it up and stick it out for two more years for the exit opps?
First time in career. Told manager there is too much on my plate this week as I have at least 40 hours worth of work all "urgent by EOD tomorrow". His reply "I think it can be done". What to do?
#NewYearsGoals promotion via curr SM, then travel project->airline status->monthly wkend adventures (i.e. Actually living). If I'm working Mon-Wed night as it is, may as well be on the road w/ perks!
Just signed up for the SPG challenge. Easy.
How common is it work as a contract employee through a recruiting agency? If the rate offered is high enough and role is somewhat similar to current one, worth leaving full time job for? As a W2 contract consultant - do you think there can be surprises in amount of taxes we have to pay individually? Also any hidden salary benefits of full time employers? (Except insurance, 401k, PTO, phone)
Anyone have any suggestions on how to transfer out of assurance into advisory / strategy?
My wife is giving birth in a few months to our first child. Should I take the full 16 weeks? Four months seems like an extremely long time. What about utilization and bonus? Getting replaced in projects and initiatives?
