Mostly for the guys here... Do you ever wonder if someone's commitment to you is predicated on your job? My faith in humanity is having some trouble rn 🫤 Recently found out that pretty much every one of my nurse friend's coworkers has been in some kind of sugar daddy type relationship.

Honestly surprised I didn’t see military on this list. Almost everyone I knew/know in the military has been divorced at least once.

To look at it a little less cynically, having a well paying job can be a pretty good signal for personal qualities like ambition, work ethic etc.
I do think if you value those qualities in a partner you should display them yourself though.. I exclusively date "across" for that reason

Sugar daddies aren't a relationship, they're agreed upon transactions. Anymore I think someone's commitment is based on heights primarily, with income secondary. The taller you are, the less income you need. The shorter you are, the more income you need...or time spent in the gym.

Usually taller men yield higher salaries than shorter men. Seems like life is hard if you're shorter than average.

Most sugar relationships are fairly obviously that and agreed upon by the parties involved?

We recently had a friend run his course through our group. He is a total mess and I have the feeling he jumps from wealthy friend groups and dips out after a few years right before he can actually get close with anyone. Nice but very insecure guy.

Who you are likely to marry based on your profession

Ah, good point. That’s a possibly too. Gotta have someone take care of the puppers 🐶

There’s often times I wonder if my SO is with me for my job. Every once in a while we’ll pass a nice car or house and she’ll be like I can’t wait til you can buy that for us. She works hard at her job and does the best she can but she just doesn’t make what I do and likely won’t unless she gets a different job and works her way up.

I seen a few families divorce because the husband couldn't keep a job. It usually stemmed from the husband having substance abuse issues or mental health issues.

I am experiencing depression due being disappointed with my workplace. I probably put too much of myself into work and now need to identify less with it. However, it’s hard to leave due to compensation and where I am with my family (kids still at an age I cannot just walk away). How did you cope? I cannot talk to someone at work but at same time I want someone who understands my world.

So my friend (who I’ve been with in the past but it didn’t work) is getting married this June. Should I just man up and smile and wave at the ceremony?

I think my husband might have a shopping addiction.

There's a constant stream of Amazon boxes coming to the house - mostly useful but unnecessary things, like small electronics or accessories for his bike - and he's frequently coming home with FB marketplace purchases or massive bulk buys from Costco.

I've tried gently bringing it up with him, but there's always a reason why the purchase makes sense or defensiveness around it not being individually expensive - but all the small things add up

What is the true reason that people want to work fully remote? I understand saving time/money on commute and still being able to get the work done at home but I’m not getting why some just absolutely DONT want to go to the office at all. Genuinely curious. (FYI I work a hybrid schedule)
