Moved to a new building with 3 door staff and a super. What’s a good holiday gift to give to them?

I have my primary home plus a vacation home we quickly turned into an investment home. Can I get financing as a third home as a vacation home or would they typically just assume it’s an investment property?

For all you retail people...are you experiencing a very slow holiday season? I am a retail manager and I feel like this season has been freakishly slow. I thought we would at least match last year's number or be up a little bit but we are trending down. I talked to employees of other stores in the mall and they are saying the same thing. Those who went from having a set number of paid time off to unlimited time off, how do you feel about it? Did you end up using more days than you would normally take? I know there are articles out there discussing the pros and cons, but I'd love to hear specific examples of how it negatively or positively impacted you. Were you able to negotiate anything extra/safeguards at transition?

I can't stop being angry and disappointed in myself. I'm on PTO and decided to take care a few of the household chores. I multi-task all of the time and can't help it.

I forgot that I turned on the water to fill up the ultility sink in the basement and ran back upstairs to do something else. Well 2 hours later as I turn on the shower, I wonder why it's not getting hot. Then I remembered the basement. Obviously it overflowed and I had .25 inches of water on the floor (concrete)

What is the best way to study for a PHR?

I’m an HR Generalist. My job is a mix of recruitment and Employee Relations. I find the recruitment aspect to be pretty enjoyable and stress free, but the Employee Relations aspect does often give me a lot of anxiety (I’m a very anxious person to begin with). Recently, it’s been worse because I have several ER cases currently that seem like they could be potentially turning into lawsuits. Do others in ER experience these anxieties?
