I have recently been selected for a partner round at Deloitte for data science consultant position. Can someone tell me what they ask? Also what should be my expected salary in Ireland? Is it wise to state I want around 60k? Or are consultants not paid that much? Please help me. I am new to this. I have a work exp in consulting for 2.5 years and have done my masters recently. Moved OUT of a sales role recently (spent two years) for those same reasons. The potential payout wasn't enough for the sacrifices to my quality of life and mental health. The thing about sales is, either you're schmoozy and do this naturally or you struggle to keep up and it takes a lot out of you. I learned how to be good at it and learned some great skills that my current colleagues don't have, but I'm not gonna lie and say it was easy
Takes some time to get used to any new role. Eat well, sleep well, and understand you’ll need some time to find your footing
I was in a wealth management sales role at an RIA. Was responsible for cold calling, setting up meetings, some basic client service, running models; but mostly cold calling lol to meet sales targets.
Just curious - @OP and @JPMC1, what were your responsibilities / Day to Day?
Interesting. How did you transition out of that? I'm asking because my buddy is 1 year into a really similar position and wants to move out but isn't sure what he can do after.
I transitioned? Applied a bunch of places? Finagled my skills and experience into a role (incidentally one I'm extremely good at, so not really a finagle).
