Are there options trading coaches or mentors? I’ve done well in stocks trading, have basic knowledge of derivatives from the BComm in Finance and various books/online resources.
But I feel like I’m really lost in the actual practical aspect of options trading and would love to learn directly from someone who’s experienced and successful in it. Preferably someone who’s smart about risk-minimizing strategies.
Is it possible to fall in love with the same person twice?
I was dating a guy for 4 years when I was 17-21. I haven’t seen him for 11 years after we broke up. We finally met 1 month ago and something happened… some feelings that I never felt before. Not sure if it’s love, nostalgia or what.. we spent few days together and it was amazing. I just can’t understand what’s going on between us

Hi all - considering making the move from NY to Singapore biglaw (cap markets/M&A) in the next couple of years. Would love to hear a little bit about lifestyle and work culture at various offices in SG (bonus points for corporate practice). Over here, you always here generalizations about Asian offices being sweatshops but not much firsthand experience. Thanks in advance!

Why did so few men speak up about #MeToo? I'm sure many of them went through some of the things women talked about for the purposes of advancing their careers, yet we heard little to none of them speaking up.
I am still so disappointed in the way that Ellen's show was terminated. I used to watch her for so long and to find out that eventually she was exposed as a bad person is so disheartening to me. It seems like very few people can be trusted nowadays.
What’s the craziest headline you’ve read recently? Mine is “Julia Roberts Reveals Martin Luther King Jr. Paid The Hospital Bill For Her Birth”. That’s a sentence I never could’ve put together myself lol

How do I pitch a script to a big network? I've known of people who've had their stuff used without permission before, essentially killing their chances at a career and I wouldn't want that to happen to me.
Have you ever taken on an acting gig "for exposure," i.e. for free, but you just ended up hating the final product and wish you hadn't done it?

What are some positives/negatives of working as a freelance voice actor instead of signing with an agency?
For some time now, series about the pre-end of the world time is becoming more and more popular, this is the case with "The Handmaid's Tales" it has a perfect image design, characters with a perfectly defined background, and the ability to represent a totally possible pre-apocalyptic world. It has it all. Any other series with these features?
I’ve applied to a job I’m qualified for, description is DMV or remote. I’m not in the area but have WFH experience so I messaged the recruiter on LinkedIn who asked for my resume. After sending my resume they say the job has changed to DMV only. I check the job posting on their site and it still says DMV or remote.
I guess I’ll never know…but was that a rejection? 🥲
Also, in general, very annoying to find out after sending resume/reaching out that a job will not be fully remote.
Are video producers just destined to be constantly lowballed? I’m a freelance editor and producer and I feel like my clients grossly underestimate the time and effort it takes to deliver a final product.
How come in TV shows there are different salaries for different actors? And it's even worse when you bring numbers in. Per episode, there have been cases where some people make twice as much as others.

Whoa....no need to paint with such a broad brush. Not all of us are like that! I value my team tremendously and go out of my way to recognize them every chance I get. Maybe you need to branch out and experience other (better) directors.
I disagree. Movie directors may not seem to do much, but they are crucial to the success of a movie. They are the ones who oversee all the aspects of the movie and make sure it is cohesive. Without them, movies would be a mess. Some definitely don't move a single finger and just complain, but I know some get involved with every aspect of the movie from start to finish and work with everyone.
Sounds like someone has only worked with lazy, entitled directors. I’ve seen my fair share - directors are like any other captain of a team. Some push, and some lead.
I’ve worked with people who inspire and some who would clearly rather be anywhere else. It’s all about personality and work ethic.
I hear you, but just know that this doesn't apply to all directors. You've likely had the misfortune of working with terrible people but there are certainly directors out there that act as great leaders and recognize people's work. Good luck!
Oof. Not all of them. There are some that are genuinely hardworking and passionate about their craft.
Sounds like more of a toxic work environment than movie directors all being bad eggs. Some of them are better than others. Better luck on the next projects!
It's funny because you're a Director yourself. Maybe you haven't worked with really good ones yet. Your bad experience doesn't speak for all working in the same field.
I'm on my 3rd project/film since I started in this industry and I am yet to encounter good-natured directors myself. Can't wait to try my luck on the 4th project😅
..and they get all the recognition for after. It's tragic, I know. But that is the business for you. It is irritating I know, especially if the production team is keeping the ship afloat.
