Moving from insurance defense to an AM100 firm and their onboarding requires a background check. Anyone know (1) does this usually go into credit; and (2) is bad credit something that would cause the offer to get pulled?

My credit is horrible (bad decisions in my youth I’m still paying for. No bankruptcies and it didn’t impact my bar application).

I really don’t think they will look at your credit.. some firms do tell you in their background check that they won’t run your credit so maybe you can just ask them?

How many YOE in insurance defense? And what practice group at the new firm will you be in?

What firm hires ex- ID/ what firm are you going to? Feel free to DM me to keep it more private if you want.

I asked about this at my last firm bc I have terrible credit too. They said they would only care about an active bankruptcy or multiple bankruptcies. I'm sure it varies by firm but I don't think anyone is judging us on late payments and charge offs.

I know I am extremely blessed and thankful to god that my parents are kind and allow me this but just want advice please.

As some one who’s on the left political spectrum, there are some things I just don’t understand

1) What is genuinely wrong with universal, free healthcare provided by a government entity ?

2) Why is there opposition to taxing the super rich at 70%?

3) Is it not clear that electoral campaigns sponsored by corporations are problematic for a democratic society ?

4) Everyone says “get an education” but that’s impossible with high costs. Why not make tuition free of charge ?

I personally feel that it's absolutely ludicrous the US government is not enforcing or at least asking people to wear masks in healthcare environments like at the pharmacy, doctor's offices, or the hospital. We all wear ours behind the counter but I had a patient come in today WITH covid to pick up her prescription, no mask. I get that she already has it so she isn't worried, but what about the other people around??

Hello! I’m providing referrals for my organization. Latino Network is in Portland, OR and provides services to the Latino community. Benefits, work-life balance & work environment are AMAZING. 15 days off per year + paid self care days in summer (14 days), fully paid insurance, 401k with match, wellness stipends, access to Nike/Adidas employee store, free Trailblazers tickets + other sports teams and concerts, and many more benefits. Happy to chat with anyone about my experience.

I’m currently in SMB insurance sales for 2 years but I want to move into AE role that has a base around 80-100K. I’ve been looking at SaaS sales but I feel under qualified, do you guys have any recommendations that meets my base I’m looking for? I prefer to get out of insurance. TIA

Good morning!

Still trying to figure out this whole Fishbowl thing, so here goes my first post.

I would love to get into provider credentialing, but all employers I've looked at want at least 3 years of experience. So, I'm looking at Provider Network Coordinator roles, because I'm finding some of those roles don't need AS MUCH experience. I'm a RHIT, and have been working in healthcare for nearly 10 years.

Any input on employers is appreciated!

First, doing these interviews does not define you as a person.

Second, take it one day at a time; if they are moving forward, they see something in you.

Third, remember that the people interviewing you are human beings. Connect with them, be personable.

V5 Legal Assistant here (2 years in industry, started at current firm in late April). I’m on pace for 2700 billable hours / year. To boot, that rate is going up because of all of the 65+ hour weeks lately, and the first month being billed around 40.

I was just told that I may not qualify for any bonuses because I haven’t been here for 1 year.

Is this normal? Am I crazy for thinking that I should be getting a *significant* bonus for all of the crazy hours and deadlines?

I lateraled from one firm in city A to another firm city B. During the interview process, I made a big deal about how I badly I wanted to be in B, despite only being barred in A. They hired me, paid for my bar courses, the works.

Now I find myself in a position where I need to leave B due to personal issues. Thinking of going to DCso I can just waive in.

It's been less than a year since I've joined; is it too soon to ask this?

Litigators- what training did you firm provide that you thought was most helpful (at all levels)? I think my firm should/could do way better (as in, we really don’t do any training) and am lookin for practical suggestions!
