Whats the purpose of a QofE bridge
Have my closing interview with Accenture next week. So far the Director and MD I have met with have both liked me and the recruiter has said that they have both given me a thumbs up and that the upcoming closing interview with the MD is just a conversation. From my research I’ve also read that it’s just a sanity check to make sure I’m not a nutcase. Of course anything can happen, but I’m expecting an offer. (Cont)

This may be a shock moving from NYC but you can afford a place with a real bedroom in Chicago. It'll have a door and everything.
My friends have a sweet 1BR in river north for $1800. As to your previous point of how things feel quiet... generally that'll be like how every place in Chicago feels compared to NYC
Not looking to share with others, at least until I see what the price will be. I've been living with a roommate since college and looking to finally get my own spot. Feel free to talk me out of it
You will be shocked how much you can get compared to NYC. As for area specifically, depends what you want. How old/what type of vibe are you looking for? Old Town or Gold Coast are good for late 20s, but they'll be a bit pricier. Rule of thumb as you go north of the river (River North, Gold Coast, Old Town, Lincoln Park, Lake View) you get younger crowds and cheaper housing. If you go west of the river to Logan Square or Wicker Park it's more "trendy" (also diverse, which I like; the aforementioned areas pretty much only have white people) but rents are still fairly high
24 turning 25 this year. I have only been to Chicago twice and both times I never really got to explore. Stayed at the W and found the area boring and quiet at night. I'm looking to be conveniently close to amenities, transportation, and always down for a cool vibe and in the action. Also I'm moving and have very few friends in the area so anything that'll help facilitate that as well would be ideal.
Lincoln park for the yuppies
1br... pry $2200... id stay on the north side of river north, south part of Lincoln park or somewhere in old town. Gold Coast has gotten kind of meh.
Loop life
1br over $2000 should allow you to get some "extra" as in downtown location, nice finished and some space. Fine with being a little further north in Lincoln Park or Lakeview? Or even Wicker? That can be accomplished for more like $1800
River north!
Is it too ambitious to find a place in the 1100-1500$ range? Zillow has some spots popping up within these ranges in river north, Lincoln park and old town.
I live in the loop right by the river and only pay 1400. #views
Old town and RN are more expensive than LP. I would say $1500 is doable in RN and Old Town but it won't be the nicest building.
I hear that there are some good deals on the South side, as long as you don't mind wearing a Kevlar vest.
Just depends if you want new/renovated or you're ok with an older building or no doorman/etc
Kpmg3 where are you living?
