Humble brag? Lmao
Pretty good for CLT with 5 YOE. Although this market isn’t that low cost anymore.
It would depend on your actual lifestyle and goals. I think you won't have much of a problem with that salary. Make sure you account for relocation costs + taxes etc.
Ask for a few months of corporate housing while you transition
As a consultant in BC with 5 yoe making a lot less. You’ll be fine
Business consulting is another guess
Definitely a decent offer in my book
Where from the west coast are you from?
You’re likely netting ~10k/mo. On you if you can’t make that work. Housing is very expensive here but you can find decent deals on house rentals. Don’t get suckered into a 1BR in south end for 2k. The good days of south end are pretty much over but will be completely dead once old sycamore is torn down.
Amen… Southend is nice but overrated. Stick to the suburbs like Balyntine or Concord
I make 177. 5YOE. You’ll be able to save a ton of money. I built a house and bought a new car all within the last year and a half and I still have a ton of money going into saving. Should note though I have no student loans or any debt outside of my home and car. But you should be perfectly fine! Feel free to DM me if you want to talk more!
I made a little above that. Maxing out your 401k, you would be probably be making 4k bi weekly after benefits.
COL : a two bedroom in the hot neighborhoods (south end, uptown noda) is about 2200-2500. One bedrooms around 1850. These are luxury apt prices. You could rent a three bedroom house for these prices or less depending on if you want to live suburbs.
A cup of drip coffee from a nice coffee shop 3 to 4$.
Tall boy beers 3$
Craft beer 5 to 7$
A glass of wine 6 to 9$
Cocktails 13$
Gas right now 3.50 a gallon
Dinner for in a casual restaurant w/o drinks probably 30 to 50$. Fine dining can cost more.
Casual lunch 15 to 20$
Parking is free a lot of the time
How much other things cost: ever use amazon ? That should tell you the max
I’m paying 3100 in uptown for a two bedroom. And I know people who pay more. And I know many people who have one bedrooms that cost 2k.
That sounds like a fair offer to me. You might be able to negotiate a little higher.
